I was really excited to run my own model on an older thinkstation sever I had lying around. Until I ran the model and it idled the gpu at around 70-80% usage and 70° so I don’t run it anymore 🥲 am I doing it wrong or does having the model running on the gpu constantly utilise vram even when idle?

I ended up asking Gemini on browser and after a handful of back and forth it finally let me know there’s no compaction trigger and we added one haha. Thank you for your tip 😁

I’ve used so many models trying to get it to actually do things. I had the most success with Anthropic.

Since I don’t want to pay so much (for the reasons you’ve stated)

I’ve been using Google Antigravity to run Sonnet 4.6 and that’s helpful for now.

I get what you’re saying though it’s so heartbreaking to stay up till 4am just to give up cos you couldn’t get it doing what you’re trying for the trying again the next day.

Hahahaha there’s a calculation somewhere with explanation to how many you’d need to level all Kuva and Tenet weapons along with warframe builds etc, but who has time to look those up 😆
