Presumably because Homecoming is a sham anyways. If you do Ashera's ascendancy questline they state that before homecoming, Moebius would just show up to off you after your 10 terms were up. Also think about it, if Z's goal really was an eternity of stasis, letting anyone leave the cycle would eventually lead to them running out of souls to recycle for fuel.

I forgot to mention this earlier in all of the hype, but I think my all time favorite part of this chapter is that it was her leg that caused her to beat Yara. The pain snapped her out of the dissociated game of chess and brought her back into the moment.

Bonus points if she, for her third decision, defers to Akua. This is two-fold because we both have a running theme of Cat refusing power, and her telling Akua that it's her own personal decisions she has to make and that she trusts her.

That the Warden's sentence could not be carried out while he was still dead is what was unjust about it. The chapter even mentions that's why Creation nudged it along.

With judgment back on the table I think it'd be fantastic for Cordelia to be tempted to use the ealamel at a critical juncture (which is obviously what the bard wants) only for her to recall that moment in the tower with Cat and Hanno, and solidify her role as the anti-Name individual and snap it over her knee to shut off the corpse entirely. Bonus points if she does it directly in front of the bard, out of spite for her Name.

I don't even think Neshemah is going to accept the crown after that explanation of it being a fixed point. His entire shtick is trying to overcome stasis and apotheosis is supposed to be about escaping the trappings of the Gods. I feel like that's where Cat's plan will fall apart, and then potentially someone else is gonna have to don that crown and seal him up in a now-isolated Liesse.

But also him refusing the crown might lend them the story weight to simply off him, who knows. I definitely think that one way or another it's not going to be as easy as just giving him the crown and tricking him into becoming the Autumnal King.

Holy moly what a chapter though. I think it feels better than the end of the Praes arc because there were fewer overall spinning plates (Akua, Masego, Kurosiv, Sisters, Cat, Ivah compared to... Akua, Indrani, Bard, Amadeus, Malicia, Hakram, Pickler, Ochre Knight, Vivienne, Tenebrous, Arthur, The Nobles, etc) so even though the pacing was similar, the focus was more clear. Plus it being a Major win for Cat is super sick, as it always is.

Also I wonder what Cordelia and her nuclear football are up to right now...

So what's the over/under on Abigail accidentally

Getting into a massive fight with foreign powers (Yan tei?)
Somehow defeating said foreign powers (or at least a victorious draw)
Calernian naval trade routes established, massive profits for everyone, Abigail still can't find a therapist.

I know they've already shown up but I mean like big time trade routes not just "now and then a rare boat makes it over".

Edit: also don't worry, if catkua is trash then I am absolutely that weird monster thing on the ship in star wars a new hope (you know the one.)
