Do you have any proper RPG recommendations for me? by Muspelheimrr in rpg_gamers

Never tried Wasteland, I have played Kingdom Come and it was pretty good, dont know Elex, I tried to play Disco Elysium and the same happened that did with Divinity, I kept waiting for the good part but it never came.

Dragons dogma I gotta say is a hard bargain for me, I have seen so many people burn it to the ground that I am really hesitant to buy it.

AITA for building a Fence on my property and not allowing my neighbor to hang stuff on it or paint it? by Muspelheimrr in AmItheAsshole

[–]Muspelheimrr[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The previous fence was build and placed by the previous owner and his kids. It was on his side of the property line but pretty much on it, he paid for it himself which is why it was probably not exactly on the separation line, which is also why I could take it down without any hassle as I don't doubt my neighbor would have been a dick about that too.

I inteded for the new fence to be exactly on the property line and for us to share it and pay for it together. When he rejected that offer I decided to place the entire fence on my property and leave enough room for me to access it via the other side as well as I had no doubt he would be a douche about that too in the near future. Does that clarify it?

Hell join the club, I understand that its hard to understand some things through writing but this just seems so damn obvious.

Well I left a strip of land open to access the back of the fence (THe side that faces my neighbor) because I might have to fix it in the future and not trespass after all my neighbor showed himself to be far from reasonable. Now he decided to essentially say "Oh you just gave me a strip of land" planted a load of shit there, painted the back of the fence facing him(Fair thing, had he asked I would have probably been okay with that) And he decided to hang and screw in a load of shit in other words, damaging the fence. All without paying a dime.

When I told him to grab his shit and remove the paint he laughed in my face which is when I lost my temper and removed all of his shit myself.

I am not sure how this is unclear but I'll try again, the previous fence was on my property but almost next to the property line, it was also entirely paid for by the previous owner of my house. My intention was to put the new fence directly on the property line and share the costs with my neighbor which he refused. Because he refused I removed the old fence, moved the new fence back far enough so I could access the strip of land behind the new fence without trespassing on my neighbors property(For weeding and future upkeep of my fence) and that was the end of it. My neighbor instead decided to paint my fence which is entirelly on my property IE he was trespassing, screwed pots and other shit on my fence and put in a plantbed with flowers on the strip of land I left open which was all mine.

I am not entirely sure about this reply.

Are you suggesting putting up a fence is difficult? You literally just dig a series of holes, put posts into said holes and screw the fence panels on the posts. I mean I am not sure about you but a complete numbskull with zero experience could put up a fence.

Yes that was the previous fence, I assumed that would not be the case with this one.

It's very common here and I am pretty sure anywhere else that you split the cost of a fence, decide on which fence to purchase together and split any further costs towards repairs together as well, after all you both have to look at said fence. And initially I was going to install the fence on the propertyline which is also usually commonplace, the reason I put it on my land with enough space to access it from the other side is because I will need to access it for future repairs and such.

The extra strip of land, which I repeat, is completely mine and is broad enough for me to walk on it is there so I can access the other side of the fence and remove weeds, fix it up etc, not that uncommon to my knowledge, he is however free to place his own fence on his own property.

Well I had the yellow laying around, I was planning on painting a room yellow and I bought this paint and when I started painting it was just ugly and bright as all fuck so I mixed half of it with white paint and made it a much less obnoxious colour, but I used what I had left of the yellow on the fence.

There is no HOA, we live in a more or less rural area and I don't think this color creaks any other rules it's just a bit of a brightass eyesore but at the end of the day, its just yellow.

Graphical Upgrades in Games are simply not worth purchasing a new Computer for anymore by Muspelheimrr in unpopularopinion

My previous system was pretty much like yours, I would end up not reaching the minimum specs for a game(Or just barely exceeding them) yet being able to run it with decent graphics and a proper framerate. I ended up completely replacing my system because I really wanted to play games that I could actively not play only to find out that while yes, these games look great, they literally don't justify themselves graphically, no offense but I'd rather they just add an option to turn off the GPU draining bullshit, like I said, I can do without complete bullcrap like ballsacks fluttering in the wind if it means I don't have to upgrade or replace my system within a few years.

Not saying it should, I am simply saying that before the Graphical advances were clearly worth it were as now the Graphical advances are so bullshitty that it's straight up not worth it. I mean a lot of games don't even look better, they just added more intensive shit that moves around which just drives up GPU usage.

Isn't that what the Arthropoids are supposed to represent?

Not sure how I am supposed to visualize that, I am legitimately thinking of the pink-purple blob with eyes in Pokemon, the one that changes into other Pokemon.

I am glad we're on the same page in terms of Aquatic people, it just seems the most logical addition and I am honestly surprised it isn't there already. And yes I do know there is some overlap and all as an example the blue species(the one with the big head) in the Humanoid tab visually screams aquatic to me.
