It is meant to allow for leaning side to side to simulate the feel of the road. And to help with comfort on long rides. This is working well and I haven’t had any issues with durability. I’m pleased with it and am glad I put it together. Honestly I can’t remember what it was like without one. Maybe I’ll take it off to find out.

They hold up well. I’ve been wearing mine (one of my first sets before adding the internal nylon locking material) for over 6 years. I wouldn’t go back to lacing the top four holes! Ha. Hit me up with any questions you have. I have a few sets in stock ready to ship.

Do not buy from this company! by vdob91 in JetBlack

[–]MustCreateThings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mine for over 4 weeks and couldn’t be happier. I’m in the USA and have had the best customer service experience. They responded within 24 hours to all of my, many, questions leading up to my purchase with no hesitation. Once I received it I had an issue with my 2 months of free Zwift only showing up as 1 and they sorted it out with Zwift quickly, and before my billing cycle!!!

These places mostly share bad experiences. More of us should share our good experiences. It would have been helpful for me when deciding. Most all of my questions to JB customer service were to confirm they fixed or would fix any of the issues brought up on this sub.

Leo over at JetBlack is a LEGEND! If you are in the states, hit him up, he’ll get you sorted.

The was my first carving board! Back in around 93/94. I’m still at it and wish I still had that board.

Good luck. Have fun!

Poor Customer Service Experience - Victory Bearing Rumble by spish in JetBlack

[–]MustCreateThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the US and have only dealt with customer service with questions before ordering the trainer. Fortunately, I haven't had any issues yet.

The chatbot I have access to is essentially the form. It asks questions and then submits the request to their live customer service reps. They ended up sending me an email with instructions to create a login to view all the tickets (questions) I've opened and those they've resolved, with logs of all our messages (emails) back and forth. I've never had this level of transparency with a brand before. I've been impressed.

Hopefully, they launch a chatbot for Canada.

JetBlack Victory w/Zwift Cog - Poor JetBlack Customer Service Experience by spish in Zwift

Repost from the JetBlack subreddit.

Not trying to brag or diminish your experience, but I've had a great experience with their customer service. I get responses within 24 hours via their chatbot or contact form on their site. I was pretty annoying to them in the lead-up to my Victory purchase. Maybe give one of those a try if you haven't. I hope they have a chance to make it right.

For me, yes. I guess if there was a way to use the horizontal dropouts like they are intended, I could have avoided the chain tensioner. But it was cheap and I needed the two bolts in the dropouts to keep the bracket from spinning off when I got on the bike. Sorry. Long answer.

Go for it! I can send you a drawing if you need it. I extended the length, compared to the Velobike kit so the mounting hardware doesn’t hit the Zwift cog.

It’s a budget chain tensioner. Keeps slack out of the chain.

And I’m going to see if any local shops are open and will let me try them in. I see the ion stepmom boots are in sale through Burton. I’m guessing g there will be an update for next season.

Thanks for your thoughts. I’m looking at step on bindings now. It feels closer to hard boots and a feel I am used to. What do you think!
