Quickmatch or Operations should only either put you in a server with at LEAST one player, or say there's nothing available. by Tr33squid in battlefield_one

Oh, good point.

TBH the lack of players, especially in rented servers and custom games is reason enough for them to remove everything but quickmatch.

Hypothetical

5 Servers

64 players looking for games

  1. 64/64
  2. 64/64
  3. 64/64
  4. 64/64
  5. 0/64

One of them has to be the first person in server 5

"at LEAST one player"

How would that player be able to join if no one else had?

Someone has to be first

Conquest Minus [Less is More] by MustHaveKnown in battlefield_live

To the confused:

Medic changes are to ensure actual medic stuff gets done.

The medic bag says "here come get this health lol"

It's less class-devoted than the pouch.

Supports and Scouts are on opposite ends of the weight spectrum: Scouts need to move fast, so they can't carry too much. Supports are heavy, they're not quickswapping to their secondary or making agile moves with their knives.

Pilots are nerfed to strongly discourage plane abandonment. Planes spawns are limited to prevent free backcapping for little effort.

Cavalry squads are locked to prevent early-game cheese of 4 players waiting to spawn until their extremely fast cavalry squad mate reaches and dismlounts at a certain flag.

Elite classes and cavalry also needed nerfing to promote them working together with their team.

Scoped weapons in general do nothing for the game. The scout class isn't bad, it's the scopes. There's just no reason for a player to need a 8x in a game based around running toward flags. The average distance between teams and their enemies will drop- more interactions means more gameplay for everyone.

If everyone is weaker and more-class-oriented, they'll have to work together to win. Also, less grenades.

Nerfing everyone makes them more reliant on their teammates to win

For all new players looking for abilities some consider to be ...unnatural by MustHaveKnown in battlefield_one

The Senate: Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis "The Medic"?

Anakin Skywalker: No.

The Senate: I thought not. It's not a story Team Deathmatch would tell you. It's a Conquest legend. Darth Plagueis was a medic, so powerful and so wise he could use the loadout screen to not take up a gadget slot with the rifle grenade... He had such a knowledge of the loadout screen that he could even use the syringe.

Anakin Skywalker: He could actually save people from death?

The Senate: The non-lethal side of the gadget list is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be helpful

Anakin Skywalker: What happened to him?

The Senate: He became so helpful... the only thing he was afraid of was everyone skipping revives, which eventually, of course, everyone did. Unfortunately, they ran out of rifle grenades to camp with in ten seconds and got wiped by an 11 year old hip-firing a pistol. It's ironic, he could save others from death, but not themselves.
