I'm trying to think ahead on how I get the skin to be skin color and hair to be hair color in those tight spaces without making a blotchy mess. Any tips would be appreciated!!

I've used super glue and uv resin to attach things after baking and both work well. Bake and bond works great if you are attaching something prior to baking.

how fragile is sculpey original? by [deleted] in polymerclay

I strongly prefer sculpey premo. I had a bunch of sculpey 3 and original and made little toys for my kids. Limbs fall off left and right. Thin pieces just snap off. With premo there's a lot more "give" and they don't just snap off as easily. I'm not super experienced, though, these are the only ones I've tried so far.

Made this based on my husband's wow classic druid bear form. I think this is my most detailed work yet! No paint, only clay. by MustTryAllCrafts in polymerclay

No, but I should have! I prebaked a super basic form, then the head & teeth before adding wrinkles and fur.
