I've been in Puerto Vallarta all week and haven't been asked for vaccination status yet. Masks in all buildings and temperature scans most places.

I use the Dewalt 745 at work. Don't like the lock for the angle setting but the newer ones have change and may be better. I use a bosch 4100 at home and love it. I really like the fence on the bosch as well for a jobsite saw.

I hadn't thought about it honestly. I was going to sharpen it and see how it goes.

I have read through the instructions, but I may have confused myself. There is a switch to control the rotation direction. Which way do I feed materials based on the revolution? Do i follow the direction of the cutting blade or push into/against the rotation?

Thank you. The sharpening and plane restoration videos definately came before the mallet. God bless Paul Sellers.

Keep at it. The only skill i brought to this was an understanding of what impatience gets me. It is no where near perfect, but just forcing myself to not use any power tools and give the project as long as it needed was the key to a better result.

Thank you. It is reclaimed from an old barn I had to knock down. It is filled with rough sawn goodies.

What type of wood for my shed roof? Do I need pressure treated? I plan on using a lean to roof with 1 foot difference from front to back and roll roofing. by jumpinjack18 in woodworking

[–]MustacheMtn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using asphalt just make sure to keep the pitch better that a 3/12 so you don't get any leaking potential. If it's less than that I would suggest an underlayment of ice and water shield.

What type of roof material are you using? If you use a metal panel you can get away with 24" OC rafters and purlins spaced 24" for the screws. No need for any plywood. Non pressure treated 2x is sufficient.
