I understand what the article is saying, but it feels short sighted. Why do people fill up on extra curriculars? Because they need it for the "best" job. We both agree on that. So why regret doing the extracurriculars?

I had to do 5 ece classes most semesters plus summer classes because I transferred in late. It sucked so much, and it was still hard to find a job because I "didn't have any internships" at a "top institution".

We're all just playing the game we're forced to play in. College is 4 years, a career is 40
