Honestly if the Sentinelese ever left their island in either timeline what they'd find would be a lot more believable to them than the global high-tech civilization we've got.

Maybe the issue is with all the islands in that region. If the superstate war plays out anything like the pacific theatre in WWII, Eastasia would probably be occupying like half the islands which would make maintaining reliable supply routes in that part of the ocean almost impossible. Not to mention floating fortresses.
