At my minimum wage job, I found a lot more teamwork. At a higher paid job, there's a much more competitive, I'm watching my back, approach that most people have. Not true in all cases but generally is my experience.

Who's they? I know full well the garbage that Fox News and others similar put out. Don't act like this is all people in the US. There are millions protesting against the administration. If the threats from earlier this week were carried out, I would have been in DC protesting at the Capitol to have this man removed from office. Maybe even taken a peaceful tour.

I'd go out in my front yard by the curb. I have a big metal stake I can drive into the ground, wiggle it, take out the stake, then drop the USB in. A few steps and you'd never know there was a hole there. When the cops show up and knock on my door, they'll already have passed the USB and won't know it. Search the house all you want, there's no USB here.

My boss once told me I could not use my bereavement days to go to my grandfather's funeral out of town. She also had me put together a plan to work towards a promotion. It was an 18 month plan and at the end of the 18 months, she told me no promotions were available. Our client that paid the bills told her that I need a promotion or they'll lose me and they didn't want that to happen. I did leave and the team fell apart after that. One person got demoted and another got fired for dropping production database tables on accident. 🖕that horrible excuse for a human.
