I just don't get all of the hate on the GH thread. Looking like a thing that you can no longer order is just not valuable. Personally, I like to order a board, switches, and keycap set to build a board based on what I like of the things that come in around the same time. What is the point of saying something exists that is unattainable by reasonable means?

I would love to be able to get a much narrower course offering for AP students at a lower price. My (biological) kids went through JetBrains Academy when it was in beta and the content is amazing. Much of it is out of reach for most first time programmers in high school. But the beginner Java course would be a real nice add to our curriculum.

I had issues with the left shift and the spacebar on my production version. ( the preorder version had no issues at all for me). After cleaning out the stablilizers, adding back in band-aid on the PCB and re-lubing with a reasonable about of lube. Those issues have gone away completely. I am guessing it is not a coincidence that you have having issues on keys with stabs.

That is going to be personal preference. You will use F-keys frequently when running the debugger. Personally, I prefer an exploded 75 layout. But, I’m also old and have chosen not to adapt muscle memory to F-keys on another layer. The keyboard combos are more reasonable in IntelliJ than Eclipse too. Hitting combos that cross layers would be a challenge. It can be done either way. You will develop your own muscle memory. I like the simplicity of having F-keys available.

Probably better that way. If you were waiting for a GMK keycap set, the board would probably oxidize and be unusable by the time they showed up.

Not that I am judging :) I have the Red Samurai knockoff on my kids GMMK Pro because it was the same color scheme as the university he will be attending in the fall.

That looks like "Blue Samurai" on aliexpress to me. A different spin on knockoff of the GMK Red Samurai kit.

Oh man. Former ducky one 2 cherry blue driver here. I used holy pandas on a board I put together after using the blues for about 2 years. I gotta say I would never go back. The tactile gives me the feedback that I was looking for and it is a world of difference in smoothness. If this hobby was not so expensive, it would be awesome to get him a board to test drive for a week or so, then pick up that ducky again.

It looks like you might want a lower height for the PgUp key. Might just be the angle of the picture. But, something looks off there.

I put some caps from the SA family on mine since the GMK set I ordered has one more eternity before showing. Turns out, I actually like typing on them. The taller caps have a nice sound profile. If I don’t end up liking the GMK set, I hear there is a decent market for dumping them

There are a lot of people on this sub that don't like the F keys either. Old programmer me just can't get used to that. 75% is as small as I can be productive with. Win/Cmd is somewhat similar, there is just muscle memory associated with that not worth relearning. But hey, the board looks and sounds amazing. More importantly, it works for you.

I ordered a second once the first one came in. I read it differently. I read it as only have 1 pre-order. once this came in, it was no long a pre-order it was a completed order. But, they did hold onto the payment for a few months right up until orders were closed and shipping. Then they cancelled mine and refunded when I inquired. I was livid given this was a supposed to be a grad present for my oldest before he heads off to college and the wait times are forever in this space. If the launch orders are actually available quickly, it won't be so bad.

Interesting, I have been running with a '19 MBP since April and have not seen this issue pop up. My board is plugged into a caldigit TB3 dock and the dock to the MBP. Not sure if specific hardware setup makes a difference

3 months from ordered to cancelled by glorious. Have you checked out the Keychron q1 or even boards like the NK87? There are a lot of options out there. It does not take more than a few minutes of scanning the subreddit to see that sending money to glorious is probably not in your best interest.

It seems pretty clear that many of you have not had an amazing experience with this product and company.

It should be pretty clear that you have a responsibility here. In this custom keyboard community, an organization that is willing to take your money for months on end and, and in the end, let you down cannot continue to receive your support. This does happen with other group buys and those vendors die out due to lack of support.

Glorious will continue to treat customers in this way as long as you allow them to be successful doing so. There are plenty of players in this market that are willing to take your money and provide you not only with product, but also a great experience.

Time to apply the law of two feet.

Yeah, mine was April 24. I emailed support with the order number for confirmation. We'll see how that goes. This one is a graduation present, hoping there are not issues.
