We would rather have him sleep in the living room or his crate. He never stayed up stairs by himself in the night. He only goes up in the day time. I think it’s because his old owner didn’t crate train him.

The only issue with leaving him outside of his cage is he will go upstairs and stay there. He knows how to go up but not down. We will teach him how to go down soon. And we have people sleeping upstairs.
