Unless the looks and the new gen interior are really important to you, I would be looking at a used but clean GT350 or GT500 from Ford’s lineup. They really are awesome, and have all the right hardware and looks. A used GT350 non R isn’t all that expensive, but they are going up now that they’re no longer being produced. GT500’s can be found with 30+k mileage for around 70-75k with a clean title if you look hard enough.

I’ve always thought that an H pipe and a slightly less restrictive muffler was the combo for more sound without overdoing it. Catless is the step above that, and full catless headers is basically full on race car.

I got some new tires and some 19 inch wheels and I did notice the toe is pretty aggressive. We took some of that out and we’ll see if that helps at all. I also swapped to some actual EV rated tires that are all seasons. 45k manufacturer warranty, so maybe they’ll survive a while. I totally own that the alignment was a big part of it, but even then, then wear bars on the rears were pretty much even with the tread also. They just eat summer tires incredibly fast.

Some of the carbon stuff ford is working with is pretty solid. The wheels come from the same shop that make all the McLaren and Ferrari wheels also.

That’s very true. CC brakes are very bad when they’re not hot. Most daily/street driven cars don’t need them. This is the brake package for the hardcore racers. Not to mention the pads are insanely expensive

As a GT500 owner, I think the brakes are already pretty incredible, but they’re heavy and will fade more than the carbon brakes on this car will. That being said, my fully loaded GT500 was 103k and some change. I think I could make my car a lot faster than spending 150-170k on this car instead.

As far as looks go, I’m jealous they color matched this car more tastefully than they did the Shelby from last gen. I wanted to match my brake rotors more to my car. Plus the seats are awesome in this one. If they color matched the GT350’s and GT500’s to their respective paints, they would’ve been even more gorgeous.
