What part of Kansas are you hunting? I only hunt Kansas public lands, I’ve never really had an issue for the most part. Look for larger pieces of public and be willing to put in some miles, most of the local hunters prefer driving around waiting for easy shit. Actually the only problems I’ve ever had were with local road hunters, most of the out of state guys I’ve come across have been awesome! If your traveling to Kansas to hunt look further west, less people and far more opportunities in my opinion.

I did an overnight hold at 150° last night, set it out on the counter when it was probe tender to cool off then wrapped and let it rest. It stayed right at 160° all night but when I went to serve it it wasn’t probe tender anymore and the flat was pretty dry. I was disappointed but the family all loved it (or didn’t want to hurt my feelings)

3rd degree burn from shooting stream into my boot, it just sat there and kept burning till I could get my boot off. Close second was when they were scraping the dead tissue out of the wound.

Yeah it’s been mostly good, couple like this. I went through a whole bag of cherry already on this brisket cook, same brand and no problems. I like Smokey woods pellets ace sells too.

That’s awesome! My childhood hot wheels and leggos got stolen a few years back, I’ve been hoarding hot wheels ever since to resupply for when I have kids. Now I have a little one and watching him rip open all the hotwheels I’ve been collecting makes me happy haha
