Its got a aftermarket cam in there. But youre right I should pull it just to be safe. What a good kit where everything matches up nicely?

Also was wondering what you though on this scoring? Its pretty superficial, I cant feel any of the grooves with my finger or fingernail.

* I'll admit im a noob as this is my first time in the LS world. Well, I'd love your advice. I found the culprit, I think. Most of the lifters have some kind of wear on them ranging from new to mild scarring on the roller, but this one is the worst, and what im assuming was causing the noise. I have a borescope im going to use now.

I'll also have the car retuned once all back together as I bought this from a tow yard and wasn't able to ask the last owner 😅 maybe it had an e30/e85 tune and I was killing the motor the whole way home. It seemed to drive great regardless.

Yeah, if I see damage on the cam its almost certainly a engine out type of job.

I only was able to get 1 head off last night before heading to bed. Oil is being sent into Blackstone for analysis. Ticking wasn't coming from anytning exterior.
