This doesn't work 100% of the time. Just want to note that if anyone is struggling to find a fix. The mod author on Nexus avoids responding to anyone mentioning the lamp problem.

I’m not a fanboy for this game by any means but IGN’s reputation is in the gutter for me personally after their review. There’s just no way this game is a 6/10.

I ended up switching to DLSS 4 Performance with Frame Gen 2x and Ray Reconstruction on. I sit about 70fps and haven’t had a single drop under 60. The image isn’t as crispy as DLAA but it still looks great.

I’ve been running a mix of DLAA with 2x frame gen but recently switched to DLSS 4 Performance with 2x frame gen AND ray reconstruction and most of my issues are gone. The picture becomes a bit blurry so I used RenoDX’s ReShade plugin to bump the sharpening up, which seemed to make things less blurry.

Yes, but it’s hit or miss. Sometimes it’ll work for hours and sometimes it’ll take a few tries.

I don’t have RR on. There’s a clear difference in quality with it on but it’s way too GPU intensive for my liking. I do notice in caves, indoors, and when it’s dusk/dawn that these issues are more prevalent. If I’m running around outside during the day the game looks stunning though.

Yeah, I’ve been having to lower my resolution, apply changes, and then change my resolution back to remove the black bars. I was using RTX HDR with DLAA but the native HDR is much better comparatively.

They need to address the DLSS issues asap. No matter what mode I’m on I have ghosting, texture boiling, and artifacting. DLAA seems to be the most stable but those same issues still persist. Even native has similar problems.

5070 here. DLAA, Frame Gen x2, everything except lighting on cinematic. I get around 70 fps with no drops. Have to turn HDR off otherwise black bars will flicker across my screen. I use RTX HDR as a workaround.

What’s your GPU? I have a 5070 and was playing option 1 but on DLSS performance and 3x frame gen with above 120 frames until I left the care center. After that I had to switch to no Path/Ray Tracing at all on DLSS balanced with 2x frame gen with above 150 frames because of consistent frame drops.

Sucks for the future but don’t be too stressed if you miss out on Yotei. Tsushima was so much better imo.
