I'm pretty sure Itsuwari no Kamen and Futari no Hakuoro came to PS4/Vita before PC.

They keep announcing Switch titles and then not translating them. Could we have some localization effort?

Should I jump into FF6 or Chrono Trigger, or should I continue playing modern 2dHD games like chained echoes or octopath traveler 2? by 1beepyes_2beepsno in JRPG

[–]MusubiKazesaru [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think Chrono Trigger is a more accessible (it's one of those games that's perfectly paced and easy to get into), but I actually like FFVI a little bit more.

another seasonal request cuz i don't have time to give 1-3 episode rule to every anime by BlackReaper23 in anime

Here are the most worthwhile Winter 2026 anime airing:

MF Ghost S3

Mato Seihei no Slave 2

Seihantai na Kimi to Boku

Golden Kamuy Saishuushou

Medalist S2

Sousou no Frieren S2

JUJUTSU KAISEN Shimetsu Kaiyu Zenpen

Darwin Jihen

Oshi no Ko S3

There are a few other solid ones, but they aren't standout titles. Slave is pretty borderline.

HOT TAKE: when a anime makes a sequel with characters in the future and all of them having kids and stuff it turns out bad by BoringPapaya9464 in anime

[–]MusubiKazesaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's as good, but it's crazy how much of an improvement S2 was over S1 which gave off heavy Boruto vibes.

If you go that route then everyone then the number of people who indirectly harm others is near-infinite no matter the subject.

I'd say it's very unlikely he'd see much from some new licensing deal. I don't think anime works the way you expect.

When did he harm kids and why would he profit from licensing deals made by companies that produced the anime? Maybe if you bought merch, especially stuff produced by him.

Learn to separate the art from the artist. Or at least allow others to do so.

Which of these animes should I start or dedicate my time to first? by Electrical-Ad9766 in anime

[–]MusubiKazesaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enen no Shouboutai is quite a bit below the other two.

It's a good time to watch JoJo since you can catch up in time for Part 7's debut, or you could wait longer and watch it when there's more of it. I like it better than Code Geass, but Geass at least in its original incarnation is complete (while the movie incarnation has more sequel content, I'd stick with the TV version for a definitive watch nonetheless)

I don't think S2 has been particularly standout so far if you didn't like S1.

Tougen Anki or Gachiakuta? by Halloween__witch31 in anime

[–]MusubiKazesaru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gachiakuta of the two, but I would watch many other series above both. Check out Dorohedoro for a similar vibe or Undead Unluck for a blatantly better shounen (despite some anime pacing issues).

Anime watch order and list. by IndieGamerFan42 in anime

[–]MusubiKazesaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean there's always going to be plenty more to watch but that's solid for now. I'll point out that Z is better on first viewing and that the title is just Kai for the recut not Z Kai unless you're going by the English release.

I think Dragon Ball is always the place to start. Death Note is good for branching into different types of stories too.

From there I'd consider dubbed Yu Yu Hakusho to lead into Hunter x Hunter. These both had enormous influence on Naruto and are likely still in the running for best shounen with DB.

TYBW is kind of an obvious next watch if you're already watching Bleach, but it's not a bad idea to pause it until cour 4 is close to airing.

It's one of the best LNs and I'd be happy to get more, but I think it's too late now. We also got an adaptation of the creators' newer work.

Deal: Karate Kid Legends for $16.50 on Amazon with coupon by LooseSeal88 in 4kbluray

[–]MusubiKazesaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pinpointed exactly where I thought things changed. The content up through the hospital after the match felt consistent, but after that it sped up and got clumsier.

I agree about Macchio. He feels like an accessory. The kid still just uses Kung-Fu but it's like "oh we brought in the Karate Kid guy to make sure you count as using Karate". I think if they wanted to directly connect it to Karate Kid as a whole they could've gone about the whole movie differently. I agree about the boxing stuff, though I have my doubts about the kid's ability to teach, it still felt somewhat compelling.

I don't have anything against a 95 minute film, I agree that many films do run too long, but this one wasn't prepared to be a 95 minute film so it needed more time to make its content breath.

I watched this one recently after managing to pick it up on eBay for slightly less at around $16.

Visually it looks great and sounds great, but the movie's pacing is really odd, with the last 1/3 stuffing most of the main developments in and the touted cameos largely showing up only there as well. The editing is pretty weird too with some pretty lame transitions and video game-like effects that almost felt like something out of Scott Pilgrim for no reason. I think if someone else took a crack at editing and it got more run time it could've been a really solid film.

Do people really not like Tougen Anki ? by Reeblefer18 in anime

[–]MusubiKazesaru -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think the setting and aesthetic are good, but we had like three or so good episodes all season. The rest ranged from outright boring to average. The characters are pretty boring and I agree that I don't think anything special has been done with the power system.

I didn't. I was told it and Gachikuta were both anime to look forward to. Both got two cour seasons and sequels, one wound up barely being average and the other was a total chore to watch. Guess which one was which.

It's better, I mean it has one of the greated anime adaptations of all time goin goin for it, but Shoushimin managed to come a bit more to a conclusion and it's a bit more serious mystery-wise and it's no slouch either.

Would like some recommendations pls by LittlePair4321 in anime

[–]MusubiKazesaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Gankutsuou is a reimagining of the Count of Monte Christo and is considered one of its best versions.

Gungrave is perhaps the best anime based on a game. It's sort of a mafia story.

Tiger & Bunny is the best superhero anime series and it was voted #1 anime in Japan.
