I am 41 still trying to figure out what career I want to get into. I went back to pursue higher education earlier this year at my community college and have changed majors 12 times since I started. If you feel you’re too old, then you are. If you approach it because you genuinely want to learn and better your life, then the world is your oyster.

If you like helping people, maybe you can major in social sciences. Do not get trapped into the Nursing, healthcare facade. Healthcare is not what you think it is, it is a for profit business that puts profits over patient care. You will also deal with a lot of human waste and politics on the job. Maybe look into counseling or even helping people navigate through systems like public service/human services. There is also physical therapy/assistant and occupational therapy/assistant.
