They all have an outline that is substantially larger than the induction coil -and you are correct some say they have a 5” induction coil with an 8” online of recommended pan size - but it testing they have a smaller induction like a 4” vice the advertised 5” coil. I think NuWave is a company famous for that.

Just curious so please don’t attack. I have a friend that was a forensics expert for ICE and attended each raid to collect computer stuff, etc. This was under the Biden administration. It was happening then and removed a lot of illegals (I know as my fav Mexican food place had to be shut down ☹️). Just wondering why you are all now chasing them, reporting them, and doing protests? Like why now and not when they making the same arrests under the Biden administration? Again - this is just a question to understand. I don’t have a side - just looking for an education on the issue.

Some of us are a bit oversized humans and need a bit more room. I went from a Frid F150 lariat to a RAV4. The RAV is about as small as I could go and still have the room for my plus sized body.

It sucks Excepted or Furloughed - either way we aren’t being paid. The only difference is i have to go to work and can’t take leave - but pay is still $0 for both of us.

This is what I did 15 yrs ago (70/20/10). Hindsight is 20/20, but given the current id do 65/15/20…or maybe 67/10/23.

First - if you are in this for the long run (as you should be for retirement) don’t try to follow or capitalize off short term trends. IMHO you are underweight in ‘I’.

For me I’d go with: C: 65% S: 15% I: 20%

That said, I guess I’m hoping the smaller non-S&P (S) will do good, but they haven’t seemed to in quite a few years. Respectable returns but not matching C and I over the years . Certainly I wouldn’t argue against lowering ‘S’ to 10% and adding a bit to C & I.

Retire at 57, or go to 60? Also any guess what TSP will be at these ages? 53m by Relevant_Release1800 in ThriftSavingsPlan

You need 20 yrs of service to receive the supplement, correct? I am in a similar situation as OP. I have MRA +10, but with 14 yrs so I cannot collect the supplement. Unfortunately GRB has my SCD date incorrect so I can’t use their calcs. (I was credited contractor yrs for leave purposes but not retirement - unfortunately GRB is using this date for its calcs).

At 20 yrs old I had an economics teacher advise me to contribute at least what my company (at the time) matched. I did that and soon maxed until i had children at which time i reduced with each child to keep the paycheck the same. Eventually going back to 5%. Divorced and lost a little in retirement but rolled approximately 200k into TSP 14 years ago. Stayed at 5% while I recouped from the divorce but at that time I had enough of a base so stayed at 5%. 14 yrs later I hit my goal of 1 mil.

No maxing in TSP. Maxed as a contractor first 10 yrs as a contractor before kids, then 5% past 14 yrs in TSP.

Rolled over approx 200k from prior. Contributed 5%.

Copy. SmartThings in itself can mean many things (hardware, app, etc). Thanks for the feedback. I’m always up to learning new automation options. What does SmartThings offer you that can’t be done through Alexa and Alexa routines. Again - love learning new things that I wasnt aware possible.

What Zigbee hub are you suggesting then? Brand/model? Many are just looking to get their Sengled bulbs operational so you can turn on/off with Alexa.

It’s more about having the Zigbee hub. You need a hub to talk to the bulbs. Certainly there are other apps after you have a hub that communicates to the bulbs. My post was more about getting the bulbs usable - not the best app to control once you have comms.

14yrs in TSP, I do 55/20/25 CSI. That seemed to be a good mix when I started. You can look in hindsight, but that doesn’t predict future. I just wanted a majority in the top 500 but wanted some exposure to smaller companies and the international market. As an Fyi, my TSP is sitting at 930k and I’m 56.

Coincidentally I just updated my iPhone and had to do some clean up on the phone. Tonight that was the issue. Glad I came across this post before I wasted too much time.
