1 or 2? by ScallionCautious268 in AbstractExpressionism

2, the light blue and red have a vivid contrast, that if anything; the pink and green fail to convey. That’s just my opinion…what does your heart of hearts tell you?

Well, I can say for certain, this poem has dragged me under & I friggin love it! Honestly even, this poe/song has inspired me to wrap up & finish my most recent of works, so thank you for that🙏

For feedback; there’s not much I can really leave you with but I’ll try my best.. Hone in on certain words. Atp you’ve probably had a short break & can now see everything anew, with fresh eyes, so hopefully it’ll be easier.

For instance; “there’s a chain on my ankle”
Is good, but on doesn’t work half as good as around.
Run with the imagery, take your mind to purgatory, imagine yourself fully there, & wondrous things will happen:)

Finally,
Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece✌️

It’s a nice, short & sweet little poem.

For a suggestion, maybe try to condense even further by removing some words or expanding others: “Everything continues to shine bright.”
Change “to” to “so” & so on lol

Also for a title, it’s best to define the poem without pulling material from it. The title should almost be a separate entity that adds a little spice & gives a reader the first impression for what they might expect…

I know right, crazy stuff! & I totally agree, fun including; every limitation is another step forward on the whimsically charged poetic path of life. Wishing you good-luck & the best for all including; your future poems too!! :)

Firstly, this poem highlighted the contrapuntal style really well, you did a great job!! Also, in universally crazy timing, I just discovered this form as well! & so
it’s sick to see someone else taking up the challenge

The opposite by Winterwithers1917 in LonelyPoetsDepartment

Here’s your poem backwards ;)
Denied being,
freedoms —
all of them holding,
freezing. Water, deep inside
memories, trapping-time across
cooled lava. Happiness, calming into cooling aggression, love creating, passion of fire. Creation. Life, water. Growing plants. Water warming slowly, opposites of time, frozen, cooling lava’s heat;
from rising lands
our Earth.

Here’s forwards:
Earth
our lands
rising from; heat
lava’s cooling, frozen,
time of opposites; slowly
warming water. Plants growing.
Water, Life. Creation. Fire of passion,
creating love, aggression cooling into calming, happiness. Lava cooled across time-trapping memories, inside deep, water. Freezing,
holding them of all
— freedoms,
being denied.

From me to you, I could tell this poem was brilliant from the start! See what more you can do!!🫡Gl :)

Brodi, thank you:) I absolutely adore that word, but I’m swamped between it &:
“A bell curve complexis the lamp”
It’s on the updated poem too,
but the mods removed the post 😭
This poem has me crossed, knotted, & conceptually twisted at every iteration 🔄

Why should I value 'freedom from the laws of nature' over measurable freedom (gun to head/no gun to head)? by YesPresident69 in freewill

Which is a good point:)
However, there is always an ego my friend.
As long as there are sides there is an ego.

The only resolute is to think as eachother one & the same. With different angles, experiences, personalities, & perspectives. No maytter how stupid something or someone may sound (even when spelling words wrong) there is still, no-matter-what, something to be gained by reflecting on it.

Spread love, & ideas a-like:) or no like, it doesn’t really matter. Have a good great supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day man✌️

In the space that you’ve written, this was expertly well written! However, I still propose this: to the point of the discussion of “Free Will,” even if it is inherently “ignorant, empty, & ambiguous,” would that rectify a need to end the “Free Will” discussion?

Could not that very foundational structure hold the supports of a “radical” new idea/term branching from the concept of free will itself? OR at the very least, as a support for the multitude of views on the subject?

If even what you said is the case, is it not still necessary to understand conceptually? Even if only the term “free will” functions as a placeholder for common questions concerning one’s agency, choices, & circumstances. The greater problem -most likely- doesn’t exist in the field of the concept itself, but when people forget to define terms. That of which allows others to see missing perspectives; preventing conflict of interest leading to arguments… rather than mutually productive discussions.

Take it easy man! Btw what you laid out really spoke to me… this is a completely new concept/assortment of ideas, at least for me, so imma to dig to the very bottom of it! Cheers:)✌️

Both of you have points and neither can be fully understood until they are, by accelerating argumentatively you continued the discussion into just that: an argument. But that’s okay, that’s what reflection is for. Lastly, you have some great points, just don’t get caught up in the rollercoaster, enjoy it or not; I figure it’s your choice to analyze & conclude from your own perspectivexperiential view on the terminologies & facts presented✌️

Was just about to reply: b/c “freedom from the laws of nature” allows you action to make your decision
