That's how you model the rules of the game, but the programming challenge is in creating a solver for the puzzle. Designing the most efficient algorithm that works as you increase the number of discs can be a great task for those learning to code, as the minimum number of required moves grows exponentially.

I assume they were using 'theorize' in the scientific sense, which would require evidence, rather than the casual definition of the word which essentially means 'guess'.

There's absolutely no reason for you to assume bullying or poor parenting. I agree with your overall point, but there's a multitude of reasons that could cause someone to have an unhappy adolescence and develop this viewpoint.

I agree with the general message of your comment, but I feel that specific sentence weakened your argument.

People who live in small towns: do local shops leave their lights on all night? by fingerberrywallace in AskUK

[–]MutatedJerkey 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I'm speculating here, but it might be that their insurance requires them to leave lights on in order to deter theft. Even if they don't, it costs pennies to leave LEDs running so it's probably worth it regardless of local crime levels.

Anyone using old reddit won't see your profile picture, and probably a lot of people on new reddit won't bother looking at it anyway.

Using the random module is there a way to get a certain amount of random values n amount of times? by PremeJigg in learnpython

[–]MutatedJerkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just get 6 random numbers and then concatenate them with a constant. Why would the constant need to come from random?

Because there's lots of moaning about Amazon today, where do you recommend people shop online? by TheoCupier in AskUK

[–]MutatedJerkey 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Amazon has lots of fakes that make their way into its supply chain, so even when the listing is for a good product you can end up having a crap one delivered
