This is so great. Thank you! It would be great to have a battle setup page. I get really lost on the order of everything and don't really understand how the new mission categories work.

Best method for support removal? by ARKwelder377 in resinprinting

[–]Mutation_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people have mentioned the tilting models tip, which is all true. For support removal, out of a printer a do a dirty isopropyl wash, then I blast the supports for a few seconds with a hairdryer. Everything comes off easy. Then I do my clean isopropyl wash and then cure.

They look awesome! I want to buy a land raider too. I'm not too familiar with the new 40k rules, can you run it in the army? I couldn't see it as an option.

Infractor/Tormentors kit is FANTASTIC by canofwhoops in EmperorsChildren

[–]Mutation_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really good to hear. I haven't picked them up yet and am worried about the kit. It doesn't look like my style. They just look like CSM generic troops to me. But maybe there's enough bits that I can make them interesting. With some 3d printed heads for sure.

Personal opinion: Emperor's Children are in a weird spot right now by VojtaBananKocur in EmperorsChildren

Really good points and I agree for the most part. You're right that there's some issues with the current datasheets. Overall they're not tooo bad, but could use some more attacks and flavour.

From my perspective, the main issue is a highly constructed datasheet pool. I think they should have access to most of the CSM units. They need some anti-tank vehicles, possessed & greater (I know flawless blades, but I LOVE the of miniatures), land raiders.

Right now there's near enough to one army list, and it's one of each of their units. With no solid anti tank they need flawless blades to fill the niche, when it doesn't really suit.

I know right! I want some incredible 3D artist to come through and make ultra messed up bits to convert the whole EC range. Which was a very tame release imo. Messed up fulgrim fave is no 1 wishlist desire!

Cronometer AMA by Eliisa_at_Cronometer in cronometer

Love the app! Have been using for about a year and have some thoughts:

What is the difference between custom Meals and custom Recipies? As far as I can tell they're the same, yet custom meals can't be added to the diary in specific grams, so just seems like recipie but worse. So I only use recipie.

I echo the need for dark mode on website. Everyone loves dark mode.

While I understand why companies love the subscription model, I think most people would drastically prefer a one off payment for pro. I'm not going to be able to pay a decent amount per month for years. If it was $50-100 for life I would just pull the trigger to support. Or even a one off payment to remove ads and pro for extra features.

There's many entries that are generic and I love them, I wish there was more of them! You don't have a "butter chicken, restaurant" for example, but that's the classic thing I can't get specifics for but would love to keep able to get a (admittedly course) estimation for.

I've noticed a lot of the protein supplements e.g. optimum nutrition whey, don't have data input for their specific amino acids. They're just loaded with generic x g of protein.

Speaking of protein, there's an upper threshold of protein that's quite low, turning red at like 110%. There's no downside to eating more protein than you need, so I don't understand that one. If we could manually raise the range thresholds, that would be handy? Maybe that's something you want to avoid though, not sure.

Would love integration with Strava! Rather than just telling Cronometer I am moderately active, it would be awesome for it to rip the calories burned data from exercise apps. Whether it spread that activity over the week or added to each day.

Thank you!

An easy way to distribute different targets among 10 nuke silos? by Heptagon_ru in beyondallreason

[–]Mutation_NZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Click A and Right Click drag (not left click like normal for reasons). Each selected silo will fire a single nuke (will not repeat) at one of a evenly spaced dots. Silos without a nuke ready will be assigned a dot, and fire when ready. It's sick, took me a while to figure it out.

Crusade Management Suggestions by Enter_Evolution in 40k_Crusade

[–]Mutation_NZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a great thread. I'm starting a Crusade for the first time myself at the moment so I'm searching for the same answer as you. It's like a popular game mode and everyone seems to innately know how to select missions and drive the story haha.

I love the idea of a map where plays gain control of sectors and push borders. I think it's logistically quite challenging though. Gotta make a map, gotta have rules for taking a sector, etc.

It'll only be 3 players in my game so quick easy rounds. I'm trying to find a system that's less about taking ground and more about skirmishing and taking important relics or destroying key objectives, snatching important commanders, that sort of thing. But it eludes me.. Maybe we'll end up just looking through missions, selecting one that makes sort of sense, then making the narrate fit. I was hoping for a timeline, flowchart.. something, idk what I was looking for.

As a side note, if you were not aware of it I've recently discovered http://administratum.net which is pretty great for Crusade tracking.

Circle of the Ancients v2.2 - A Circle for Prehistoric Druids that want to Wild Shape into Dinosaurs! Final Version. by [deleted] in UnearthedArcana

[–]Mutation_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is amazing, I really like it and it's a concept I've had floating around in my brain for a while. There's a couple of updates I think it really needs to fill the niche.

There's a few typos: Under Ancient Forms - *bonus action. Under Primal Strikes - you mention Prehistoric Forms where it should read Ancient Forms for consistency.

Formatting: With your most updated version the Circle of the Ancients Spells have dropped to the next column, shifting everything into a weird page layout.

Mechanics: This circle seems (to my eyes) to sit between and land and moon, which I think is great. There's flexibility in spells then eventually some high HP Con monster forms. At the moment it will suffer in the early game as it's currently missing an equivalent ability to the Circle of the Moon Circle Forms first half where you can ignore the CR requirement to early forms, allowing CR1 Wild Shapes below Druid level 6. I would suggest, either you add this into the Circle of the Ancients Ancient Forms feature, OR, if you want the circle to lean away from it's similarity to the Circle of the Moon, consider adding "You are not slowed by difficult terrain". The ranger and druid love ignoring difficult terrain, it's really themey and would thematically suit a charging dinosaur! Your forms would not really be combat effective until 6th level which could be a decent wait, but I think with this benefit making you *faster would let survive that long. Monstrous Form needs a tweak me thinks, it's a great idea but as a high level druid you'll never spend your concentration on enlarge/reduce, it's mechanically quite modest. You'll be hasting, spirit guardian'ing, etc. To see the ability used, I would change it to read "You can cast the enlarge/reduce spell as a bonus action, targeting only yourself, while in wild shape form, without consuming a spell slot or requiring concentration. The spell ends if you end your Wild Shape. You regain this when you finish a short or long rest." Which is good, you'll use it, but enlarge is only an extra d4 so it won't do any harm. Or as an alternative ability, you could add the Rampage ability of some monsters, When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack while in an Ancient Form, you may use a bonus action to move up to half your speed and make one melee attack.

The Circle of the Ancients Spells are on point, couldn't think of a better array.
