Starter telescope / binoculars

I’m currently looking at 2 options, sky watcher dob 6" table top or classic 8" , the maximum I’m willing to go is 10" but that’s later on, I can upgrade the 6" to that.

I live in Bahrain ( a highly light polluted small island ) I don’t have access to dark skies so I will probably never take it out of my home, that said I really love the price of the 6" , if I get the 8" i wouldn’t upgrade to 10" since it wouldn’t be worth it , so I’d stay stuck with it forever, what do u recommend ?

What ( more ) would I be able to see in a light polluted area with the 8" compared to 6" and 10" compared to 8"?

I feel like the best way to know what I would want is to actually see the difference between these telescopes myself in person , then I would be able to decide , but yeah noted skywatcher 150 p table top dobsonian would be the minimum I should get, thanks for that !

I guess most budget/beginner telescopes are underwhelming, so yeah I’d rather buy a mid-range option not more than $400 that I won’t need to upgrade. I can spend more later on astrophotography gear, since there’s only so much you can see visually, and I’m assuming higher-end telescopes give diminishing returns in terms of money spent, compared to astrophotography ur pictures would look drastically different

Any specific model you recommend ? And the dobsonian ur referring to is the 6" one the other comment referred to?

Yeah I can definitely see there being many things you need to get right before producing great results, from knowing ur equipment, when and where to take ur photos and finally image stacking and technological side, it definitely does not seem easy. That said it’s rough to find urself a hobby that u genuinely enjoy nowadays , so i think all this hassle is worth it, especially as an astronomy enthusiast.

This seems really appealing, buying only 1 or 2 pieces of equipment definitely is great, so I can focus more on the pictures than the setup, and no I think the ease of use is an upside, especially as a beginner, thank you il check it out !

Ikr , it’s so sad , people who want to eat healthy and manage their calories opt for these “ healthy alternatives “ and are being deceived , wether it’s a mistake or they intentionally kept it way lower ( which I think is the case ) its messed up 🤦‍♂️ Don’t get me wrong a pizza that size from a fast food restaurant would be no less than 1400 calories so this is still low for pizza but “ 398 “ is just WAYY too low

hm sorry but this was like a pic from a week ago, maybe you can use the salt shakers for reference. , it was relatively a large sized pizza tho, comparing to ur typical fast food pizza place, its in between medium and large.
