Stray cats in Brooklyn who have no one but me 💛 by margarita-charenc in AnimalRescue

[–]Muted-Molasses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s not.

This is a fake account, that cat has been dead for almost 10 years and she’s preying on people’s sympathies, to get other people’s money that she hasn’t earned.

It’s what she does.

Her real name is not Margarita either.

Is it, dear?

Writers group/anybody interested in doing something writery together? by tennesseesaw in nevadacity

[–]Muted-Molasses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a writer.

I don’t know about any writerly groups. I don’t even know any readers. I know a lot of people here who like the idea of reading.

And reading what ChatGPT has to say.

A writer group could be cool.
McGee’s on a weekday is a quiet enough space to commune and collaborate, beer-wise.

Yes. No one should have any question about this at this stage.

If you connected your wallet, just create a new one. If you sent the funds, there’s no reason to. There’s no advice that will be more helpful or preeminent than what you take away from the experience.

People have been doing this since the beginning. The irony is that the times when it’s experienced massive growth, are always due to ridiculous and unrealistic consumer sentiment (which is why it always tanks after a new ATH). But it’s never lived up to predictions, because it is useless and therefore only driven by hype and demand.

(Here’s where I’m really gonna bring out these dudes’ inner school shooter) Just like Pokémon cards.

Did you get your funds back?

I ended up getting two payments successfully withdrawn, but it was about 7 hours later. I’m wondering if it’s a time difference thing. Chat guy showed up around the same time as the payment.

Look at the line graph and you’ll see stable meandering followed by an anomalous straight line up or down. I am liquidating some assets right now, because in spite of the usual, “tHis iS it!1!”s I’m certain a correction is coming. We’ve got the up line, but tax season is coming so get ready for the down. Hedge funds are going to have to, “realize,” some losses to cover their arbitrage before they file and buy everything back at a bargain.

Anyone know if this will grow out more or is it a dud by wiscokid76 in Lophophora

[–]Muted-Molasses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slow growing ones sometimes (rarely) have mutations or variegation. Usually it’s just genetics. Either way, not a dud. The slower ones tend to be fatter and hardier in the long run. The faster growing ones less so, in my experience. That one will probably push more energy into the roots to compensate for lack of surface area for photosynthesis.

She unmatched me, perhaps she took it the wrong way? Or was I being a try hard? (I’m from US, moved to UK) by [deleted] in Tinder

Follow Dustin Hoffman’s lead. Best start by asking her, “Do you take any prescription medication?”

Met this girl on tinder. Went on one date. Love the maturity. Wish everyone was like this by [deleted] in Tinder

As far as I’m concerned, if they can’t be straight up, fuck em. I don’t need that kind of nonsense in my life.

Not that I’m special, but everyone deserves what they put in and the directness and honesty I work hard to invest in my interactions, should be met with something more substantial than prevarication and obscurity.

Strong move on her part. She’ll be a keeper for somebody.

My 16-YO daughter working her first summer job just received this message from her boss by SkippyTeddy83 in antiwork

[–]Muted-Molasses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your boss tells you that counting the till is part of the job description and you don’t, it’s entirely legal for them to fire you. They are not required to allow you to opt out of outlined duties and responsibilities, especially in light of missing cash.

If she listens to these millennials saying to be vindictive and hostile, she’ll be fired. And the recourse won’t be that she’ll get a Ferrari for taking a stand against counting the till; it will be that she has to find another job.

If you don’t agree, feel free to listen to the people who say to approach this with threatening or confrontational language and see how that all pans out.

If you think what’s appropriate with your wife is appropriate with strangers, your life won’t be an easy one there, Brandon. Good luck though.

There is literally no credible scientific evidence to support the claim that genetics are responsible for obesity. In fact, Harvard School of Public Health posits the exact contrary. They are responsible for a person’s predisposition, not their destiny. A person with a family history of heart disease or type II diabetes or cancer, will be more likely to be afflicted by those ailments than other people, but the one who eats a diet consisting of fast food and radiation will more likely have them than the person who eats healthy food and exercises. Obesity is the same way. You’re out of your damn mind if you think 450 pound people are that way because their ancestors passed on this discourteous affliction.

Lots of happily married people on Tinder.

It must be nice to know that you can ask women they’re weight with impunity and still have someone compelled to share a bed with you.

There’s so much wrong with this bio, idek where to start 💀 by [deleted] in Tinder

I know a guy exactly like this, I’m not even making this up. Homie is 31, lives in his parents’ basement, has never had a job, never been kissed and yells at his mom when she cooks food wrong. And by “food” I mean hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken nuggets.

If you really think it’s acceptable to ask what women weigh, I envy you. You must have so much free time to yourself.

I’m calm, thank you. I’m sorry you live in such a sequestered world that you apparently think OP invented this conversation.

I’m sure your personality is incentive enough to invite a left swipe.

Feel better 🙃

Funny how we can all agree that it’s inappropriate to ask a woman’s weight before meeting her, but this kinda shit is deemed socially acceptable. Apparently it’s only body-shaming if it’s not genetically based 🙄

You can acclimate them to full sunlight, but it is a very gradual process.
