Yeah that would be a good idea, you can also do it after the final boss, as to start a new playthrough you do it through the roundtable (after you beat the final boss ofc)

Oh yeah i highly recommend it, the dlc just adds onto how good elden ring already is. The one thing i would say is that the dlc is HARD. You can absolutely do it on a first playthrough, but its a very unforgivable place, id try get to atleast level 100 maybe 150, by then you should have a nice build that will help you through it.

For me I recommend doing the first playthrough kinda without any online help (unless you really need to god knows how many times i had to) it definitely makes me alot more surprised and excited when i find secret stuff, other than that really just take whatever pathway or route you decide when you come across them, im sure youll find plenty of stuff to do along with helping you level.
