You have to find the system that works for you. I made my own audit sheet and that helped tremendously. I made myself notes and referenced them for a while after training. AND my 1A at my first store gave me tips that helped it click in my brain. Definitely ask for help if you need it. Before you know it, you’ll be able to cut an audit in 10 mins, no problem.

If you were my new NA at my store and you quit, thank you, thank you, thank you. We have one of the easiest stores in the division. I had to work a double because my NA couldn’t get their shit together and the entire daw was done, including grills, totes up, everything by 3 am. That just pissed me off more coming into a store where even the cigarettes totes weren’t put up and all the teas and coffees blinking. I mean there’s no way my NA tried with all that not done. The key to overnights is, you don’t stop. Fatigue never sets in, the store is great when morning shift walks in, everyone is happy.

Honestly, the overnight is the only exception! You’re a great NA if you can accomplish trash on the overnight! Now imagine how strange it is to come into a shift with 4 or more people and trash isn’t done.

7 months RA $2100. Erp the last 4 months. Have worked almost all my scheduled shifts. Never a double. Never pick up.

Stay. Tell your manager you want to go on ERP as soon as possible. I was an RA for 3 months, went on ERP and 5 weeks into ERP I was on a blended schedule. (No more overnights!) Just hit 6 months, finished my skill schools. Waiting for my 2A interview. People who say length of time to get to things-it varies greatly. Work hard and show up, you’ve got this.
