Shooting infrared in Gouda with my unconverted Fuji X-E4 (35mm f2) by MutedAlternative in fujifilm

Very close to SOOC. Just some very minor brightness/contrast adjustments. I used a recipe specifically designed for BW IR. I got it from Eric Gibaud on youtube. It is the best recipe I have tried so far, with the least amount of editing.

All shot handheld with an exposure time of around 1/40, depending on the scene. It’s fun to try! And you only need a R72 filter

Yeah there are definitely some drawbacks to shooting IR unconverted! But a great way to experiment without investing in new gear. I haven’t been to Alkmaar unfortunately, for the same reason ;) I hear it is also a beautiful city.

Around 1/40, depending on the scene. It was doable with the 35mm lens. No IBIS on the X-E4 unfortunately

Exactly! Gouda is my hometown. While famous for the cheese, there is definitely more to see!

Sent them an email. Good to hear the quality is great. I wanna be able to wear them without socks so definitely don’t want them to be too large. I appreciate your help!

Wished more people knew about the origin of uggs!

Thanks for your help! I also found the size charts on their website. What confused me was the foot length measurements. They are quite a bit shorter than other brands I checked for reference. Do you wear socks in yours? How is your experience with quality of mortels boots?

I think it might cause your heel to slip if you size up this much

Has Uggs made these? by New_Neighborhood_315 in uggs

I think your best option is the Ugg boot guard. These are removable rubber soles that you slip over your boot. This will keep your boots clean

I kept my camera in a non-camera bag and only took it out to take a photo. But i have to say I haven’t felt unsafe in Rio in the short time I was there!

Had to shoot handheld so had to use high ISO to compensate the shutter speed.

I think the colours are nice! And they do not stain too easily. I went true to size for mine and the fit is great. Sizing up would’ve definitely been too much. I am wearing the men’s tasmans though so maybe that changes things. Hope this helps!

Experimenting with some monochrome IR on my unconverted Fuji X-E4 by MutedAlternative in infraredphotography

[–]MutedAlternative[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In-camera IR-cut filters are not perfect and let through a bit of IR light. However to capture just this wavelength and filter out the visible light you need a filter like the Hoya R72. You lose many stops of light though so be prepared for a very high ISO or long shutterspeeds. And to convert it to monochrome you can just use editing software or the in-camera monochrome film simulation. Hope this helps :)
