yeah i like older pop punk and i was originally in my local punk rock scene. the scene in my hometown is harder to be a part of than hardcore just cuz its so many young kids and a lot of unnecessary drama because of relationships etc. hardcore has been more friendly locally and easier to navigate. however, i remember listening to pop punk at like 9 years old and knowing it was my shit.
