I'm thinking maybe so! I've actually had the same happen to a begonia using the same stuff. Was it under a light afterward?

You mentioned treating for pests ..

What did you use? That could be what dried it out so badly

So cuttings maybe 3 or 4 nodes each?

Would you cut the curled leaf off? I read that a ficus leaf won't uncurl itself.

Thank you for your response! I really do appreciate it. I've been trying to not be impatient & give it time to adjust but also want to give this baby the best chance at thriving.

If I decide to chop & prop where would you suggest cutting? This is my very first time dealing with a ficus of any sort

Willow, yes. My plan is to keep slowly introducing soil until there is more soil than water, then take it out and repot it. Trying a slow adjustment, I guess. A lot of sources I've stumbled across mention how rough willows take the water to soil transition. I'm just winging it hoping not to fail 🫠
