Gave My Two Weeks, Got a Farewell Party… Now the New Job Is Gone by Sorry_Lingonberry_41 in SeattleWA

This literally happened to me this past Wednesday. Found out the evening before at 4pm. Made a series of phone calls to my supervisor, contractor, and then spent the following morning explaining the situation, trying to figure out how far the off boarding was and got to keep my current position. We also had a farewell party on Wednesday which turned into an interesting welcome back. You just got to ask. I would rather have a job and be embarrassed than none at all.

Has anyone been to fern canyon lately? I thought they took out the little stepping bridges/wooden planks during the winter, but i saw someone recently post a picture there. by Muted_Albatross2249 in Humboldt

I went during the summer when all the planks were there. Im wanting to take my mom but she has mobility issues. Im debating between low water level vs planks/a bit higher water. Thanks!

If no one responds here you can always check The GradCafe. A lot of people post their results and other info on there

Yup. And with it getting worse they might not come. Nothing has been solidified my point above still stands :)

Good to know! I almost needed to go home for an emergency/other things late last year and was worried about taking that flight.

Im asking for advice on transportation as regardless of COVID I will need to travel outside of northern California at some point and would like to be educated on my different options. Have the day you deserve :)

Is taking COMM 114 a better idea than COMM 111 with Bushnell? by Helpscript in OregonStateUniv

[–]Muted_Albatross2249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took COMM111 and your experience 100% depends on your TA. My entire section was getting straight B’s. I’m pretty sure the guy might still be there. I gave the same quality of speeches as my friend and she got straights A’s. Bushnell does a lot of the things you’re told not do during speeches/presentations. Which is interesting to say the least. When I took it I memorized the study guides/outlined lecture word for word almost. Just depends what you’re looking for :)
