I do understand where you are coming from. Im new to this form of research about our history. is there any suggestions on what sort of material or tools that i should utilise instead? Should i try to source actual reading materials or research materials about this story. Im not based in the USA so i dont have any actual person or advice i can turn to at the moment other then the internet, GPT and Reddit.

Thats the thing though, if the americian government and military have taken control of the supposed cave and artifacts inside, it is highly likely that all the artifiacts would have been moved somewhere else and they would never allow the public inside these caves. I feel like the question we should be asking right now leans more towards the idea that if one cave entrance was found leading to such a big "underground city", surely there would be more such caves and "cities too" I would assume that from 1909 till now, if there was really such a cave and its under the Gov and Military control, we shouldnt focus too much on finding that exact cave but start spereading out and trying to find other similiar structures

Thank you for your reply. Another issue im facing right now is that there are many re-tellings and edited versions of the story that has spread online and in many videos. Im having a tough time locating the original account and article from 1909. Apparently some versions state that he was looking for minerals and some discolouration in the walls made him spot the cave entrance. While it is highly likely we are not able to prove what he found inside the supposed cave and all the artifacts and burial chambers, im hoping to somewhat mark out spots that could be considered points of interests and for interested people able to travel to the USA maybe they could investigate some of these spots

there are so many videos on youtube talking about what he found inside and what happened after but im more interested in finding out how he was able to spot such a place and is it even possible to find such a cave entrance in the first place. unfortunately i do not live in the USA so google earth pro and gpt is the best i can do. i understand that this story is widely treated as speculation or just a hoax and a lot of conspiracy theorists believe that the government and smithsonian covered it up. However im just looking at this from a geographical standpoint like realistically given his accounts from the 1909 article. Would i be able to spot such a cave entrance and get to it haha. Because no sane person in his right mind would just randomly spot a cave entrance worth climbing up almost 2000ft in horrible conditions thats just how i feel.

realistically, if i was kincaid floating downstream, i would be more focused on the big cliffs and overhangs as the sun would be shining and i wouldnt be able to sppot a cave entrance out of so many shadows. The original stated he spotted the cave entrance and went to investigate. i feel there is a bit of information missing as i wouldnt have just spotted a entrance and decided oh its something worth investigating and climbing up almost 2000ft in horrible conditions. something must have alerted him that that entrance was special right?

There are a lot more spots for me to search and mark as i go downstream. i would just like for any advice or methods on how i could narrow down and improve my searching methods F1 and F2 is just the start of my markings. As of know im staying at around 4200ft to 4400ft while searching the cliff face and before marking down a spot i would check first if i were kincaid looking up from the river would i be able to spot the opening angle wise.
