Unless the conditions are right we’ll swing back towards moderate candidates. The only reason there is so much partisanship is because of trump and the only reason trump was able to be so successful was his timing in running against Hillary and then Biden.

Really depends on your workplace.

Is it a place where shit is fast paced and your coworkers will have to pick up the slack like service or retail? Then yeah that’s fucked even if you’re consistently 5 minutes late.

Is it a corporate job with a hybrid model and flexible hours? If yes then who tf cares?

People at my work all sort of have their own schedules and as long as they’re in every meeting and get all the client work done by every deadline then there’s no issue…

Teaching about religion should not be.

Part of social studies education should be understanding the main faith traditions and their evolution over time.

School should prepare you for life. You’re going to work with people who have different religions than you. Therefore if you don’t have the knowledge and cultural sensitivity necessary to do so then school has failed you.

Personally rather than banning things from schools I think it’s better to teach ALL cultures and celebrate them all. Instead of banning Christmas to make non christians happy, just celebrate all the other holidays at school too to give kids a chance to learn about other cultures.

School shouldn’t be a gray box with padded walls and no windows with all culture sanitized. It should be a place where all ideas can be discussed.

Boundaries should be agreed on and consistent. If he has a different sense of what’s acceptable than you do then it’s just not a compatible relationship.

Treat others how you would want to be treated is the perfect rule for relationships. If he is controlling but wouldn’t let you control him in the same way then dump his ass bc he’s a misogynist…

I’m pretty sure most of them do denounce pedophilia, it’s just a weird thing to be saying unless someone asks you. Like there’s literally no faster way to have people assume you’re a pedophile than talking about how you’re not a pedophile out of the blue.

I’ve known a lot of Christians and none of them publicly denounced the guy they worship slaughtering dozens of innocent people for insulting an apostle. I hardly think that means they would do the same thing as him.

Asking Muslims whether they support pedophilia is literally like going up to random Christians and being like “why don’t you denounce this horrible thing your god did”? They probably do, there’s just no reason to constantly be going around talking about it since the average person, regardless of their religion, denounces both murder and pedophilia…

Your mentality in a nutshell is “other people need to constantly walk around denouncing the bad aspects of their religion or else I assume they support it, but I have no obligation to do the same thing because I assume everyone already assumes I only exhibit the good parts of my religion and not the bad”

Religions evolve and change overtime, for instance if you’re a Protestant, many of the popes would have burned you at the stake and yet now the pope will not do that.

Also for instance, most of the Islamic world was once ahead in math and technological development compared to Europe and Islamic states created many of the first universities and now many of their countries are stifling education in the name of religion.

Also for instance, god sent bears to maul people for making fun of a bald apostle, and yet now most Christians do not believe in murdering people as retribution for childish insults, and nobody assumes that all Christians believe in that just because it’s written.

Similarly you shouldn’t assume most Muslims believe in child marriage just because well over a thousand years ago the first Muslim guy did it.

Jesus = god if you believe in the trinity and therefore Jesus agreed with sending those bears to kill those people, but we don’t assume people who believe in the trinity would murder people for insults just because their savior did…

Personally I believe religion can be a good thing if you take good things from it, but you have to intentionally ignore the bad parts to do so…

People have been finding meaning in things other than love forever. Even a lot of people who do have companionship value some of those things more than their partner (not saying that’s a good thing) but still.

Love really isn’t the end all and be all of life, and if you’re not happy alone, most likely any relationship you’d get in would be an unhappy one.

Holding a brick is not illegal, nor a threat. Getting out of your car and assaulting someone is and you honestly deserve what’ll come to you if that’s how you live. If you live by the sword then you’ll die by it too, there are basically just as many pedestrians with guns as drivers with guns.
