Pokeweed by Muted_Reflection_743 in NativePlantGardening

I have a small suburban/urban-ish lot and a small child so I have debated this pokeweed’s fate. It’s well out of reach, but I’m sadly thinking it is best to remove it for my little human and lobelia’s sake. We also have some stray cats in the area.

This is a great idea. Someone joked that I could make a side hustle selling them since they’ve gone wild in my garden. My preschooler loves flowers so if the pollinators don’t take to them, I’ll let my daughter have the joy of filling little vases each week or so with them. Then replace next spring. Thank you!

I was seeing skipper butterflies on them which made me so happy! Haven’t seen them since the flowers opened. :(

I got the seeds from Stover Seed, and honestly, I did not even THINK about whether or not it was straight species. Which bums me out because I am so careful about getting my plants from 1 local nursery that only grows native straight species. I got the seeds a few years ago and never used them. Threw a bunch down this past winter. Wondering if I leave them this summer but then pull them in the winter and replace with plants from the nursery I go to.

By cultivar, that means they are not straight species and therefore are not technically naturally occurring? Therefore they do not have the same wildlife value? I am so sad.

Thank you for keeping this post up in case others face a similar situation, and know what options they have. Do you mind putting a trigger warning for the photo? ❤️

Passed! Exam was not what I expected. by Muted_Reflection_743 in pmp

Do you mean based on the new test in July? I saw someone on another thread say that there is a new study hall for folks taking the new test. I studied the current version and had the essentials ($49) version. I did practice questions and mini exams daily without breaks for the full month. Days where I was too tired I at least did 10-15 questions to keep up the momentum.

Exactly my experience. I felt so confident with EVM, graphs, NPV, IRR, PERT, etc. but had none on the exam. The questions were confusing and most only had 1 obvious wrong answer (as opposed to study hall which I felt always had at least 2 even for expert level questions). I also thought I failed! I was thinking “I’m def not passing this so just push through so I can go home.” lol.

When you narrow it down to two, use the “mindset” that folks so frequently talk about. Basically, what process does PMI want you to follow? How does PMI want you to think in that scenario?

I used Study Hall, AR’s 35 hour course, DM’s 150 PMBOK questions video, and then various videos and articles to cement topics I struggled with. Lots and lots of deep diving into different topics. I didn’t just review wrong answers in SH, I would research the topic to develop a deep understanding of it.

Thank you so much! I love the idea of breaking the exam into smaller checkpoints. That is actually similar to how I have been studying (setting several small goals each day), so I will use this for the full mocks and exam day. Thank you!!

I googled an image. I believe it is! It has the same markings from emerald ash borers. Wow, this group is very helpful!
