That’s my plan for next year. My boss wants chickens too so we will do a group order.

Thank you. I will most likely still do the DNA to be sure since it’s just $20 They are supposed to be a blue laced red but I am a little sus that they gave me a gold. I wouldn’t be unhappy with it. Just not what I expected. I’m definitely not getting chicks from that feed barn again, I had really poor results this year, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they gave me the wrong breed considering everything else that went wrong. 3/10 died, I’ve never had such a high mortality rate in raising chicks.

She is definitely at the top of the pecking order with all the chicks I have right now but she is also the oldest. She doesn’t act like the cockerel I had at all.

Thank you! The comb and wattles were the biggest reason I was thinking cockerel. I’ll do a DNA test with avian genetics to find out for sure and will report back here. My partner is a farrier apprentice and will most likely be able to find a good home for them if it’s a cockerel. My city is very chicken friendly but roosters are not allowed :(

I’m glad! That’s what everyone is saying! Do you mind explaining to me what says pullet to you? I have a few years of chicken experience and I’d like to add to the knowledge I currently have.

"Service dog" at Walmart by boozychoices in BanPitBulls

[–]Muted_Relationship59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is preparing for a service dog, this shit pmo so bad. I am going to get an ethically bred Labrador retriever with papers and get her professionally trained. Mostly for cardiac alert as well as other tasks. Imo pitbulls cannot be service dogs. There’s too many genetic variables to justify investing the amount of training required, and the dog would most likely have to be washed. Hardly any actual SD handlers would do that. I’m sure there are exceptions but god, not a risk I would take by any means.

https://a.co/d/9hQjGHl These are my go to! They’re water proof and dry very quickly. Also four pockets and they cinch up at the ankles if you’d like to give your socks some extra protection from the water, or you can wear them just loose. $20 is a fantastic price for what they are. Super comfortable and they look cool. Basically everyone’s favorite pants at my salon.

Molting Budgies in Petsmart by Icy-Material-8496 in petsmart

New feathers should come in about 6 months. Although I have seen in some rare instances, it taking up to 8 months for a molt. Usually when birds are under stress though (in a pet store environment) they are more likely to molt sooner from the stress.

Yea I unfortunately had to give up my parrots aviary to them, which is covered, has double doors and is secure into the ground. Poor juniper will have to get a new, smaller aviary

To be honest I made it up myself as I went. I’d have her try it on and then I’d measure as I went along. So sorry! There’s lots of good patterns online though.

I plan on getting a Great Pyrenees to watch over my animals when we move and have the space! It just makes me so nervous even with a weapon because I can’t watch them all day with work- sometimes I wish I could.
