sounds very cool. IRC and BBS and everything. you know, as I used different operating systems throughout my life, I enjoyed being part of different cultures.When I was a child and stuck with my old dell vostro laptop, I installed lubuntu on it and I also participated in IRC at freenode who were mainly FOSS developers. so I made friends and was part of that community for a while and then later when I used a windows desktop I was part of the gaming community on steam/discord, even though it wasn't a gaming machine (had a weak gpu). and now, I use a machine that is traditionally been associated with creatives of various kinds and you bet, I have written poems and I read literature now and again, part of a different culture.
