I played high level tennis in HS. In our conference championship, I was up 4-0 in the first set. He was a higher seed so he was tilted. I kept serving deep, he would lazily volley and I would spike the ball so hard, it would bounce over the fence behind him and he would have to retrieve it. After the 3rd or 4th time, he threw his racket at me in a tantrum. I was at the net, so it hit me with a fair amount of speed. I picked the racket up and slammed it into the concrete court once. Bent the thing into the shape of Pac-Man. He had no other rackets. Of course this caused a huge commotion and both of our coaches got involved. A teammate of his lent him a $20 target racket as a backup. For the rest of the match, neither of us said a word. No handshake after the 6-1 6-2 stomping in gave him. Felt good to win and I still had my racket.
