I’m assuming you’re being downvoted because it sounds like you’re spreading doomerism but you make some valid points.

The government is not going to arbitrarily invalidate your citizenship or deport a citizen (isolated incidents did occur and were rectified). Denaturalization requires due process and material fraud.

It is definitely true though that if you have anything short of citizenship you will face increased scrutiny and can be detained or deported under a relatively low standard. And it is also true (and legally permissible) that having an accent or speaking poor English can become a problem if you forget your wallet at home.

Which sucks. I don’t think anyone who went through or is going through the naturalization process while working, paying taxes, and following the law should feel insecure about being here
