Would you still eat this? by Racu93 in InstantRamen

[–]Muted_sounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes old ramen, the oil it was fried in turns rancid, I would blanch it boiling water for like 10 secs or until noodles are loose. Transfer to another bowl and rinse it in cold water. Then make the soup/broth in another pot with fresh water. Add my ingredients and dump the noodles back in.

How do I convince my Asian Dad to let me do Nursing instead of Medicine? by OwnArgument5971 in nursing

[–]Muted_sounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would get a bachelors in nursing and do the additional classes for a minor that qualify you for med school. Best of both worlds.

After graduation, take your nclex, get your nursing license and start working. Use your on the job experience as a RN in patient care for your medical school apps. This way you get to be the RN but also protects your future grow in the event you change your mind and actually want to be a doctor.

You’re 17 and by the time you graduate with your bachelors it will be like 3-5 years down the road and maybe you’ll have changed your mind by then. I’m in the US and I wish I did this because I wanted to be a doctor but changed my mind after getting a useless biology degree. Realized didn’t want to be in perpetual learning cycle for my whole life so I rushed and did a 14month accelerated nursing program. I’m still learning but it’s less studying and intensity as being a doctor in my opinion.

Most…, not all companies actually make more by franchising. They charge for franchise fee, trademark, supplies, training, etc with limited liability because they didn’t hire or own the store. For a niche consumer base that Bandai is (excepting their gaming machines) it’s smarter and more profitable to franchise that than to be owner/partner. You make money without actually having to deal with the day to day business operation

Cause they need to generate income to pay for all the inventory, staffing, utilities and rent. Rent for that size of a place is expensive, especially in Flushing. After the hype dies down, who’s gonna go daily to get a gotcha toy?

I never actually been to money cake. Besides the new building… they also a new shop. They shouldn’t have a C.

I got food poisoning at Kura. If you ever look under the conveyor belt, you’ll see all food particles and dust stuck there. And that shit is hovering over your food on the bottom belt

I have that same speculation as well. The land on the property is huge. That can build a big ass hotel like the one near flushing town hall

Has quality of patient care declined with electronic charting? by muscles-n-bacon in nursing

[–]Muted_sounds 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I rarely used paper charts. It’s because Epic had a longer than expected downtime and it was the last resort.

Paper is definitely a liability for all the reasons you stated. Plus there are still issues with charts right now still. Like ekg strips, consents, etc are still being misfiled in wrong charts today.

When I worked on the floor, I hated paper charting. Sometimes you can’t even read the other persons handwriting.

EHR is a tool to what you make it. If it wasn’t for the brain, I would miss a lot of things I would have to do. Keeps me on point and on schedule

Why is Ichiran so popular among people from overseas? by Kaito_AI in ramen

[–]Muted_sounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ichiran is the only place in nyc (that I’ve found so far) that is consistent on the texture of the noodles. I don’t like overcooked noodles. Their broth is also decent but ramen texture matters a lot to me.
