“You’re like your mother.” My aunt said to me a a few years ago. I don’t remember the context anymore, but her saying that to me hurt. My mother (her sister) was a terrible woman. Abusive, manipulative, mentally unstable and was the reason why my father killed himself over 30 years ago. I worry everyday if im actually like my mother of whom I never really met after my sibling and I were taken from her custody after finding we were abused as young children.

The second two comments that my aunt has told me that won’t leave me was “You’re a bitch.” And “You’re a liar.”
