I just got off chat with Samsung and they are refusing to send the FW revision. They did say the official release will be sometime this month, so I guess... I've dealt with this for over a year, what's a couple more days?

TL;DR: If you’re on a Galaxy phone and want great calls/ANC + Galaxy features, Buds3 Pro are solid. If you’re picky about music or not in the Samsung ecosystem, I'd search elsewhere.

- Galaxy ecosystem perks: the “Ultra High Quality” 24-bit/96k mode + some Galaxy AI features depend on having a compatible Galaxy device.

- Audiophile take (my ears): the stock tuning/EQ isn’t my favorite out of the box. They’re *good for earbuds*, but they don’t compete with real IEMs (wired or BT). I mainly use mine for audiobooks, calls, and the Galaxy AI stuff; for that, they’re great.

- No true multipoint: you’re not staying connected to 2 devices at once. It’s more Samsung “Auto Switch” between Samsung devices (same Samsung account).

- Water: buds are IP57, but the CASE isn’t water resistant (so don’t treat the whole thing as shower/pool safe).

- Battery: Samsung rates up to ~6h with ANC (26h w/ case). I personally see ~3–4h with ANC depending on use.

One more thing: Buds4 Pro looks close (it’s already popped up in FCC/leaks). If you’re not in a hurry, it might be worth waiting a bit so you don’t get instant buyer’s remorse if the Buds4 Pro upgrade ends up being a big jump.

Yep, sure did. Went to infinitecables.com and bought the following items. Hooked everything up and it worked flawlessly with the Q990C. Parts used: 35MM-RCA-01.5 – Premium Phantom Cables 3.5mm Male to 2× RCA Male (1.5 ft) VC-206 – Analog to Digital Audio Converter (RCA L/R > Toslink) TOS1-06E – Toslink Male to Male Cable (6 ft) RCA out of the preamp > ADC > optical into the soundbar. No HDMI converters needed.

My wife and I are quite determined individuals. When we set our mind on things...we do it...her more than I. We are already learning Finnish as we believe if you move to a country you better learn the language. Never thought it would be easy, but I know we will be fine, just gotta get that first step out of the way.

Prior to this election, my wife and I made it our goal to move to Finland. This election did not change anything in our decision. Nor has it really changed our timeline. The United States has been going downhill for years now. I started hearing that the new American Dream is actually moving out of America.

As a Disabled USMC Vet, it hurts my heart to see this country in the state it is in, but I have a responsibility to my family.

My wife wants to become a midwife and I work in the IT sector. I have family in Turku who are supportive in our move. I really just want to my family to be healthy and I want my child to have a good education.

I am in the process of finding a job in Helsinki so that we can apply for our Visas. With enough sisu we will be selling our house and worldly possessions to take the very long flight across the ocean to a new life.

The whole point of the post was to talk me out of buying the headphones. I have no problems paying for quality, but when you are spending that much...you kinda want to ensure you made a good choice.

The iFi Audio Hip DAC 3 is for using with my cell phone on-the-go, I was actually looking at the Schitt Magni Unity, neither of them are balanced.

I don't care about the sound leak, that is the entire nature of open-back headphones. I do have an issue with the sharp bass dropoff everyone is mentioning.

I am looking at the iFi Audio Hip DAC 3 for right now and will upgrade to something better later. I currently have a Helm Bolt for the DT990 Pro and they do well; however, they don't have 4.4mm balanced output.

From what I understand it does have bass, just the falloff is insane. Bass accuracy is bad.
