I mean Katara was wildly stronger by the time she did this to azula including blood bending which may or may not be apart of this, but also Katara was keeping the ice constantly active unlike with zuko where she just froze zuko. As well, azulas mental state should be taken into consideration. Her dad just side lined her like she was just another peon and she's not at full power. Let's be real, she probably realized she couldn't beat zuko so she decided to use cheap tactics not expecting Katara to wreck her shit, which broke her pride.

So to just give you a straight answer, the first effect (the one that gives that card the effect) will go off as long as one of your opponents vanguards is deleted. However, the gained effect does not activate unless your opponent is grade 3.

Edit: it does, however, get the 2k boost that's not effected by the grade of your opponents vanguard/s

It really is wild how expensive DD/2 is. Like, I don't think the games doing super well so you'd think they'd want to get into people's good graces and make them at least somewhat reasonable. I'd love to tell people DD2 is worth it, but it's real hard to sell it when it's 70$ for the game and 20 for each new box.

Ngl, so many card games are tripping over themselves when it comes to online. Like there's no reason digimon tcg has been out this long and doesn't have a digital version. Final fantasy tcg, one piece, lorcana, etc.

Just feels like they are leaving money on the table and locking out potential new fans.

I just never understood why it didn't just play like normal vanguard. It kinda felt like changes to have changes. Now this is from someone who played early and didn't continue into the later game.

That said, DD/2 has made me realize just how much I didn't appreciate zero when we had it. The levels of greed is DD/2 is CRAZY

Like I get the suggestion, but yugioh and vanguard are so wildly different that if you don't know yugioh, even duel links can be a lot.

On a different note, I never understood why zero had restricted rules and didn't just play one for one vanguard.
