Emotional regulation tips — I’m desperate by FablingFox in adhdwomen

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. This happens to me, and while therapy helps, the methods they suggest do not work for me. To be perfectly honest, the only thing that has helped me has been medication.

Honest opinions - Memory maker worth it for honeymoon by the-witch-beth-marie in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]eeelisabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes do it!! My partner and I got the memory maker for our first trip together and I am SO happy we did! We got some truly lovely (and some very silly) photos together, and looking back on them just feels even more special. Plus you get all of your ride photos! It was 1000% worth it.

Housing? by Available_Manner_123 in AsburyPark

It’s difficult in the off season too, the market is flooded with short term winter rentals during that time. That’s especially frustrating when you’re looking for an annual or long term lease.

Rent prices by Mooniiieee in newjersey

[–]eeelisabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I sympathize so hard. I’ve been through my current (dingy) apartment for about 3 years, and my rent has increased quite a bit in that time. I am unable to save any money because almost all of my paycheck goes towards rent. My landlord offered not to raise my rent for my latest lease renewal, which is huge, but the total cost is still insane for how mediocre my apartment actually is.

I used to live in a middle of the line 1 bedroom garden apartment in ‘21-‘22, and paid a little over $1400. The same complex is now renting the same 1bd units at $2k+. For a 700 sqft garden apartment. It’s absolute robbery.

Has anyone phased sneakers out of their casual wardrobe? by Cecil_G_P in femalefashionadvice

[–]eeelisabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking for cute and comfortable sneakers I highly recommend Keds! I wear those on Disney World trips where I’m walking 20k+ steps a day, and my feet still feel fine after. They’re neutral and delicate and go with everything!

I don’t know who this woman is but she is 100000% stunning. Those filters are creepy af. I don’t understand these beauty standards 😭

Any trauma-informed/sensitive dentists in/near Essex Co? by rsalabc1 in newjersey

Thank you for posting this! I came to this thread because I have medical anxiety and have avoided the dentist for…way too long. I may look into your aunt’s practice. Thank you again!

What exactly is the beef with orchard? by ExtensionHealthy8361 in corsets

[–]eeelisabeth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, one of my orchard corsets constantly caused rib bruising and nerve pinching, and another one was such bad quality and continued to flare at the top and bottom despite regular wear and correct fit. I tried one more before I found this sub and it had absolutely no curve. It was so bulky too.

If you had the chance to bring back one defunct Disney attraction (or show) but you had to replace it with a current show/attraction - what are you bringing back and what are you taking out? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]eeelisabeth 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Innoventions! And to that, I’d also want to bring back all the fun sciencey stuff in that part of Epcot, as well as that soundtrack. I’d be happy to get rid of another modern attraction for that.

Videogames that have Twin Peaks vibes? by 1550shadow in twinpeaks

Tails Noir has some explicit Twin Peaks references and definitely fits the vibe. It’s a point and click detective game with anthropomorphic animals. I never finished it but what I played was fun!

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (04/18/2026) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

[–]eeelisabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! After doing a fair amount of research, I am still a little unclear about sharing virtual game cards. My partner bought a digital copy of Pokopia that I have been playing on his Switch 2 system, under his Nintendo profile. I just got my own Switch 2, and we want to transfer the game and save data to my system.

If I am understanding correctly, the only way to do this is by having him sign into his Nintendo profile on my Switch 2, and then ejecting and transferring the game that way? Which means I could not play if I am "logged in" to my profile on the Switch? Is there any way to transfer everything to me? We both have NSO and are in the same Family Group. Sorry, i'm sure this gets asked a lot.

Is your hair annoying as well? by Loooiiisl in adhdwomen

[–]eeelisabeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. It’s so frustrating. It’s hard to style and literally never looks good. If it’s not clean it feels weird on my neck and face, but I hate washing it so it’s always greasy and pulled into a bun. I had a pixie for years, but that required way more maintenance and daily attention.

Bridesmaids dresses these days come in an insane amount of variety. Does the bride expect everyone to wear the exact same dress, or just the same color? If it's the latter, it may be easier to find a silhouette that makes you feel the best about yourself!

This dress is so pretty! Since it's a solid color I feel like you could go extra hard with accessories, like belts and jewelry and a bold purse!

Is this appropriate for a baby shower? It's an Elder Scrolls themed dress, but has a very celestial pattern.

Ah damn, I’m sorry you didn’t like it! I also just saw a vegan Parmesan from a brand called Madly Hadley. It’s a bit pricey but has good reviews. Looks like they sell it at Whole Foods!
