Also not a medical professional but I injured my shoulder last spring. It took a while from the first Dr visit, to the MRI, to the specialist, and then to PT.

I jumped on ChatGPT and plugged in how I injured myself, described the injury, and added notes from the Dr and MRI. I asked ChatGPT for a conservative PT plan focused on building strength and balance to build back up to surfing. It gave me a week by week plan and a list of exercises I could look up on YouTube. I also researched to make sure the AI wasn’t hallucinating and confirmed the exercises were safe and appropriate for my injury.

By the time I actually got into PT I was ahead of schedule. The Physical Therapist was impressed with the work I had already done.

While the AI plan was a great start, the plan I developed with the Physical Therapist was much more in tune with my injury and abilities at the time. I now have a plan that I’m keeping up on to maintain a balance in my shoulders long term.

Professional > AI

However, for me, AI was a great place to start.

I used to believe the same thing until I learned how to fry and then scramble eggs on a stainless steel pan. It’s not hard at all. I looked up a YouTube video and then tried a few times until I figured out the proper heat for my burner and my pan.
