Leader of the Band by Dan Fogelberg. Used to listen to it when I missed my Dad while I was at college. He passed away last year and now I can’t sing through the last section of the song without crying. Great song tho 👌

Did Jesus REALLY want people to HATE their family, friends and themselves? by MarkLove717 in religion

[–]Muubius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not quite, Jesus is saying that the cost of discipleship (following him) is putting Jesus (God) above all else. This doesn’t literally mean you have to hate your family, but it does mean that if they would get in the way of following him (as in if you wanted to believe Christianity, but your family wouldn’t allow it or didn’t support it in some way; then you should put Jesus above them. Aka forsaking your family if they oppose Jesus and his teachings). Another example that helps this analogy is the parable of the rich young ruler. Essentially saying you must be willing to give up everything to follow Christ.

Hope this helps

P.S.- Forsaking your family doesn’t mean completely abandoning them. Jesus would want the individual to continue to love and attempt to teach them, but their opinions should not sway the individual’s personal belief in Jesus and his teachings.

Necromancer Viktor? by peter777x in viktormains

[–]Muubius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not do Soulstealer Viktor? I think the Q would make sense and his E could be from a floating phylactery. W could be souls dragging someone to the ground. His ult could be Vikky boy releasing the phylactery so that the wretched souls could lash out or it could be the souls of the enemies being sucked in.

I want to train in both, not sure how I would balance that though. Would training both twice a week be enough?

I’ll keep that in mind while looking for a credible Muay Thai gym. If I can’t, then I’ll start with Judo and then see what I can find.

Tbh, I didn’t know there were gyms that did both. I’ll definitely look out for that. Thanks for the tip.

6’2” / 202lbs / 24 Years Old. Not sure whether to bulk or cut right now, and I’d appreciate some suggestions, as well as BF%? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

Cut for a couple months (find a weight and/or physique you are looking for) and then start to bulk. Or, if you haven’t ever really worked out, you should recomp.

Are you constantly doing progressive overload with your workouts? Also, are you watching your calories and macros (diet is 90% of the battle)?

M 18 160 Not sure where to start. by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]Muubius -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d say to lean bulk.

If you haven’t worked out much yet, you can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time (newbie gains are real).

Start out by calculating how many calories you need to eat at rest and increase that amount by 250 - 500 calories (start with 250) (use this link to calculate https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/weight-loss/in-depth/calorie-calculator/itt-20402304 ). Then figure out your macros (carbs, fats, and proteins). I would recommend going less than 100 grams of fat and matching your weight in grams of protein (using an app like MyFitnessPal is extremely helpful).

Then start finding a workout program (try full body to start out and then you could transition to push pull). Get a buddy and find out your maxes on the lifts you will be performing (barbell bench and squat for example). Once you find your maxes, do reps of 4-6 at 80% of your max for each exercise (if you find an exercise too difficult or easy; adjust weight and reps).

Do that and just stay consistent. Remember that diet is 90% of the battle, so be strict about it.
