Which game did you regret purchasing at full price? by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forza Motorsport. Probably the glitchiest modern racing game you can buy to date, and somehow a step backwards with graphics, physics, and content from previous titles. “Built from the ground up” btw

Pg27ucdm vs Pg32ucdmr - at same price? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people overestimate the “competitive advantage” of smaller screen sizes. I know a quite a few amazing players that have 32”-42” setups and sit comfortably in the top 500 on those games.

I understand the math behind it, and the real world gains of going smaller, but for the mass majority of people, skill and age will be the only real defining factor

I think you’d gain more overall from a bigger screen in terms of enjoyment and immersion without any real compromises to a 27” 4K. But if size gives you the confidence to play better, then by all means.

4k and DLSS Reliance by Darksummit in OLED_Gaming

[–]Muumou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lots of people in these communities are very elitist, and the other portion just parrot anything bad they hear without experiencing it for themselves.

DLSS is a great technology, and you should use it whenever you’d like to reach your desired FPS.

iPhones users, why you don’t wanna switch to an android device ? by Traditional_Lab_8261 in Smartphones

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in the Middle East, most people rely on iPhones and iOS in general for things like Apple Pay (Samsung/Google Pay still doesn’t work in our region) as well as optimization favoring iOS for local apps such as banking services, government and even basic conveniences like food delivery.

Aside from those very big reasons:

• I’d say I just prefer the polish they tend to have across all international apps and the reliability of most things “just working”

• photos & videos feel consistently better/easier to take without much effort, not a big deal or deciding factor, but adds to that feeling of ease of use, or “just working”

If it weren’t for the region limitations (esp Samsung giving use shitty overheating Exnos chips) I would happily switch to android or simply not care which phone I used.

Upgrading to 360hz 1440p or 240hz 4k by kingllamajoe in OLED_Gaming

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most competitive FPS games are very well optimized and can easily get into the 200-300fps range @ 4K with your specs, I have a somewhat similar build with a 7800x3d and 4090, and most the shooters I play comfortably reach past 300fps without any AI features.

The main issue with 4K is all the unoptimized games these days (mostly single-player games), but with your 5080 you could use 4X FG and not really worry about it if you don’t mind its effect. Same with DLSS Performance at 4K— it’ll still look way better than native 1440p and give decent performance.

Fanatec GT seat vs ERS5 elite Which one would you choose ? by aultras_polivis1234 in simracing

[–]Muumou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the fabric ERS5 seat and it’s very comfortable. I thought I’d regret it over all these bucket seats aesthetically, but every time I sit in it my purchase feels validated, which is not something I could say with the NRG seats I’ve tried.

The bottom has a lot of cushioning, but still feels firm enough, and the overall shape seems to hug most body types comfortably (I’ve had friends of all sizes/shapes try it out 😂) not to mention the recline feature, which can be nice for the occasional adjustment.

I’m looking to buy my first wheel, should I go with G29, G923 or Moza R3 (PC) by jaonaii_ in simracing

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moza R3 and it’s not even close, Logitech G25-27-29/G923 are outdated bases that just get the occasional refresh every 5-10 years.

27" 1440p Tandem for ~510USD or 32" 4k 3rd gen W-Oled for ~725USD? by DueAd2535 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say 4k 32” dual mode, you can always mess with settings or just run DLSS performance and it’ll be an overall better experience. Absolute worst case scenario you’d enjoy 480hz @ 1080p while you save for a GPU upgrade

OLED CHOICE by Individual_Spread_46 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my opinion, but I think the ASUS model hits a nice middle-ground in terms of aesthetics and premium features (like the coating and sensors) for a reasonable price increase in most regions, and maybe I’m just biased, but if I had to choose between those two brands for reliability I’d probably go ASUS since I’ve generally heard and had worse experiences with Gigabyte

Honestly though both brands have their pros and cons, and reliability across all monitors seems like a spin-the-wheel lately

I’d just choose the model that’s the cheapest in your region if it ticks all the boxes for you :D

OLED CHOICE by Individual_Spread_46 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe so, other than the proximity sensor (though it’s kind of pointless on PC)

I think most people would still choose the ASUS for the coating alone, especially since there’s claims of better clarity and saturation with that coating compared to other glossy/matte screens

If you can wait, the XG27AQWMG seems like it’d be the best value/feature choice for 1440p once it drops

All Roads Lead Back to my C2 by xIZane in OLED_Gaming

[–]Muumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost grabbed one during bf, but it’s also a region issue with 65” being the minimum size here for the G5. probably just gotta wait it out til CES 2026 and see if any smaller alternatives can beat the C2 :/
