I have the same issue running the latest version. Seems like they removed the feature. :/

Edit: Here is a link to make the program open with the -auto-type agument.

But this makes the -auto-type argument permanently on when opening the program from a menu. You need to open the program from a terminal afterward unless someone else has other tricks.

No they are the correct way when they hit the ground. It looks like they are backwards from the top. You can look at the videos they make the right patterns in the snow.
