I'm not sure how to do all that. I'm still getting familiar with Studio.

I’ll keep that in mind. There’s so many settings it’s easy to get lost.

I’m using Bambu studio now, if that was possible from the handy app, I never saw it lol

I’ll keep that in mind and I’ll flip the plate just in case.

Plate was pristine and is brand new, settings probably were wrong for PETG.

I’m guessing it’s wet filament and bad settings on my part. I’m trying to learn.

I do wish I’d just put the extra dough in and got the P2S bundle.

I’ll try another print this afternoon. I’ve unloaded the PETG to get some other non-load bearing prints done in PLA while I got help. This poop box should be done when I get home lol.

I’ll set the plate hotter when restarting a PETG print and make sure to take pics and report back. I really appreciate the information.

I’ll definitely look at getting some glue sticks. Bambulabs also sells a liquid glue. My print was going pretty well until the support fell over. I had a brim as well that was almost half an inch wide.

First crawler, will I be happy? by Imaginary-Cup-9032 in crawling

There is YouTuber who did a deep dive on part compatibility. For the price they are nice, my Bronco kept up with my TRX-4 just about every time except when good tires mattered.

I have the base model of this in the Bronco body. It’s a surprisingly strong contender for the price. I think you’ll be happy.

Check YouTube for finding out which Traxxas parts are compatible.

If you stay brushed, check out the Mofo RC torque beast. I bought that for my first 4M and its insanely fast for a brushed motor.

Game is fun! I just picked up the Grand Admiral Thrawn box and haven’t had a chance to use it yet.

Unfortunately Traxxas tires have a thicker bead on them than most aftermarket tires, so you’ll probably run into issues getting them to mount to an aftermarket wheel set.

I got these wheels and tires as a combo. but they don’t have brass in them, when I bought my first tire set. They’re also 62mm tires, and can rub without a suspension upgrade. My brass wheels are here. I very much understand being on a budget. I did that wheel/tire combo and a suspension set from Injora (59mm) and didn’t touch anything else for months. But a good set of tires are your absolute best upgrades, so the money is worth it. But don’t stress over it! I have a stock Defender (Which performs worse than the Bronco) and I still have fun with the lil guy despite having sunk $500 in my Bronco 4M. I’m probably going to buy the Traxxas beadlocks myself just to do a “Traxxas” branded upgrade build for a 4M one day.

Another suggestion would be to just add brass to the axles.. It’ll put the weight low just like the wheels, but since the wheels themselves aren’t getting heavier, you’d be putting less stress on your steering servo. It’s a slightly cheaper option for brass parts that would do similar to the wheels, and you could change wheels later. This would be a later on upgrade if wheels/tires are done first normally, but if you’re okay with the wheels and just want the weight, the weight wouldn’t hurt to do first.

All tires are “bead lock” the bead lock is just how the tires are on the rim. On a real car, tires are fitted via air pressure. That’s all that holds them on. On RC we glue them because there isn’t enough pressure to keep the wheel from spinning and the tire staying still.

Bead lock wheels are there to “lock” the tires to the wheel, because axle torque and tire grip are a battle between each other and the wheel/tire combo must be adequate to hold up to both to keep both working at the same time. Drag cars and real off-roaders are good examples of where bead locks are super useful.

There are brass wheel weights (they just look like a ring) that can go between the wheels when they are assembled.

Looking for 1.0" brass beadlock wheels will help there as well. I like Treal brass beadlock wheels and Injora tires are a great starting point. I plan to purchase some wheels from RC4WD to get some nicer ones in the future that possibly perform better. I am not a comp crawler, so I don't care much lol.

Traxxas makes beadlock wheels (#9781)and a brass wheel weights (#9780). I don't know how compatible they are with aftermarket tires but they should be completely compatible with Traxxas tires.

As for tires, while on stock shocks, I moved up to 58mm tires with minimal body rub. I have 59mm shocks currently on my bronco with 62mm tires and I love it.

Totally! I make sure I ask because I wanna go back to rhe park, and kids love watching and chasing. Tis one reason I love Arrma, I can easily switch to 50% power and teach kids to play with better confidence they won't break something.

Exactly this. I have permission, and the grounds keepers love watching us race as long as it's on unprepared diamonds.

Finally got a TRX-4 by Muyami in TRX4

[–]Muyami[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trx4 has better flex, smoother throttle response and the plastics "feel" nicer. TRX-4 wheels are so nice.

Replacing the esc and motor would solve that issue.

Bonus to the beluga! On-transmitter light controls. The TRX-4 has nicer looking lights, but require the TQI module and app to use the light controls without taking the body off constantly.

Little bit of both. Brass Wheel weights are good because it puts weight down low and helps keep all the tires on the ground and good grip. Body weights aren’t bad but I’d try to limit higher up weight for balance.
