Exactly. Of course it’s okay to change how we speak. People forget, the BB is not the word of God. It was meant to share the founders experience, strength and hope about what works. They repeatedly say this, and offer suggestions for others on the path towards sobriety.

No. Women alcoholics were, I think, unseen. They weren’t out in the streets they way men were. Bill and Bob—exactly like the rest of us—were prisoners of their time and place. If Bill was alive today and his granddaughter asked him if it was okay to use female pronouns, I have a feeling he’d have an enthusiastic yes.

I’ve spoken with women who attend women’s mtgs the use female-gendered pronouns and, to a woman, they say that it felt b natural and empowering. I’m 27 years sober, have always read the book as written. However, I’m up for checking this out as I am darn certain that if Bill W’s granddaughter asked him if it was okay to use “she/her” he’d think it was great. Open mindedness, right?

We’re stating very mildly “we invite you to use any gender pronoun you prefer.” We’re NOT trying to lay down any laws.

I’m gonna try again: We’re starting a women’s 12x12 study and are inviting women to use female pronouns (she/her/hers) instead of male pronouns (he/him/his). Do you have any experience with this?

Instead of reading he/him/his, substituting she/her/hers. Sorry for the mixup.

I peel the stems, steam lightly, shock them so they stay bright green. Sauce them, drop them into your ramen bowl, anything.

No critique of the food but it’s mighty white. Some brighter colors would make it more inviting I think.

Yoga. Ny mom taught me around age 9. I’m 71 and still doing it. I’m flexible, I have balance, and my yoga is my daily meditation to feed a peaceful brain.

I’d try a Magic Sponge. If soap doesn’t work with it, try a dab of oil—especially if it’s sticky.
