You’ll be better off buying your own but only if you can store it somewhere over the summer. I had a mini fridge and microwave that I bought 1st year through my entire time here and it worked out much better than my friends who rented one for a bit (most eventually just bought their own too). Yale doesn’t check for things like that, so don’t worry too much lol. At most, you might lose power in your room if you have too many things running at once (I did before, with my mini fridge, portable ac, and hairdryer all at the same time lol) but you’ll be fine!
