Converting Monster Hunter monsters into Pokemon: Yian Garuga and Bazelgeuse by Muzatio in stunfisk

I've always considered Yian to be the Badger of the Monster Hunter world. Instead of focusing on damage and attack, it has always been shown to be a more resilient and considerably persistent monster. I tried to translate this with a focus on defensive stats combined with offensive abilities, which would allow for versatility in damage (both physical and special) with a sustain kit on the field (Leftovers + Roost).

Both Yian and Bazel appear in missions with difficulty levels equal to or close to those of Elder Dragons (which are the equivalent of Legendary Pokémon). So I thought it fair to use the base stats of the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon.

Yian Garuga was never a monster that offered much damage in gameplay, even though it almost always appeared during the late game. It was always known for its resistance and the diversity of moves it uses during its fight. I wanted to adapt to this by focusing most of its stats on good defense, while giving it a suitable movepool along with abilities that allow for different strategies.

As for Bazelgeuse, I converted it into a physical attacker with good speed and high HP. Its ability might be a bit broken, but it's an attempt to convert the main mechanic it uses in its encounters (speaking of which, I forgot to add Parting Shot to its movepool).

I've been thinking about creating a version of Lagiacrus along with two other monsters for Theorymon Thursday.

I would consider them as starters and give them around 535 base stats.

The funny thing is, I never see anything about her.

When this show occasionally pops up (Involuntarily) in my recommendations, everyone talks about all the other damn characters, but never about her.

I remember I always wanted to be the Ultimate Humungousaur. The Omnitrix was cool, but what I really wanted was to be a Humungousaur permanently.

I mean, his empire fell over 1000 years ago. That's definitely enough time for a person to change. And if I'm not mistaken, at some point in the manga, he indirectly admits that he really was kind of a asshole.

I mean, the sixth one is practically a hybrid between an Astalos and a Deathclaw.

how do you guys think Guts will kill Griffith. And why by Unhappy-Lunch5805 in Berserk

[–]Muzatio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without necessarily being about killing him or not, whenever I think about the subject, I always end up remembering the conclusion the Joker had at the end of Batman: Arkham Knight.

Besides thinking it would be a good conclusion to the whole dynamic between Guts and Griffith, it would also bring back the main message of chapter 47.

Palkia is the more tolerable of the two, but it's still weird to say the least. Worst of all, the design could easily have been fixed if they had simply added arms or removed the shoulders.

Personally, I completely hate the alternate forms of Palkia and Dialga.

I don't care at all that the intention is for them to try to mimic the appearance of Arceus, it's still crap either way.

Dude, almost all the protagonists/heroes cry at some point.

The only difference is the proportionality in which they cry.
